hey just wondering if the bacteria that causes jock itch and athletes foot can live anywhere else on the body other than groin and foot? Last year i had a jock itch problem and i used medication and it went away but it came back again I think because of the heatwave we've been having(happens to be summer too go figure). I masturbate a lot so I was wondering since I use my hand to touch pretty much every other part of my body what other parts might also get infected? Also I decided no sexual contact with my girlfriend for at least a month until its cured and gone away and probably add on another 2 weeks after the visible infection is gone too for good measure. thanks in advance

The bacteria that causes jock itch/athletes foot..

Yes, and it's not a bacteria, it's a yeast: candida albicans. Parts of your body like armpits, crotches, and beteween toes are popular spots.
I'm not sure that the issue is spreading it around so much as the small amount of yeast that's already living in those areas starts growing. The same anti-fungal powder/creme/ointment should be appropriate for all parts of your skin. A vaginal or internal infection, however, requires different medication.

so I guess the chances of it spreading to a part of my body like lets say my forearm is very unlikely since its not a moist and warm area on my body? My crotch has to be the warmest and most moist area on my body. I mean i sit most of the day and that part of my body is the part that is covered up almost 24 hours.

Yes, infection of your forearm is unlikely.
You should make sure you treat the jock itch regularly, and keep up the treatment for two weeks after it has gone, to make sure you have fully got rid of it (it's persistent, and you can still have some under the surface without symptoms).

yup I'm doing that, I'm using the spray treatment 2x a day (in the morning and at nite before i goto bed). I've never used the cream before does anyone know if its more effective? I didnt choose the cream in the first place because i didnt want my crotch to feel all greasy from the medication and i didnt want to find the cream all over the inside of my boxers by the time i changed at nite and in the morning.

I've only used creams. Creams need to be rubbed in well but when you do that there's only a little greasiness.

I've used both powders and creams and both work equally well. I generally consider where it's going to be applied as gravity comes into play with the powders.
