Well, I'm a sophomore in college now, doing about 18 hours a semester because I want to graduate as fast as I can so I move on to veterinary school and start doing what I really want and love to do. Also, I just like being busy. I work at a vet clinic (small animal, some exotics) here in Nebraska, and a couple of times a year I work with Wolves, Woods, and Wildlife out in Minnesota and I get to play with baby wolves, cougars, porcupines, skunks, foxes, bob cats, lynxes and various other wild animals, which is great! I am currently trying to get some kind of job at Henry Doorly Zoo (second best zoo in the United States), but it's been kind of difficult.

Hey all! It's been a while... But Early yesterday morning, I got my tonsils removed (not my adenoids, though, because they were already gone). I was wondering if anyone has any food suggestions or warnings. I know a lot of online lists I looked up were stupid, because all of them recommended Gatorade which burned the shit out of my throat (both red and blue kinds). However, peach tea from Sonic is very gentle and yummy. I was also wondering if you recommended gargling salt water... When I got my wisdom teeth removed, and I did the salt water thing, it caused me to bleed.

I am not pale, I am PINK. I used to always, always be teased about my complexion when I was younger, because I can't truly tan, and when I do, I get tons of freckles... I just think skin color is another way people can make others feel bad.

I would so be irritated if I was stuck in a subway with a bunch of people yelling at each other... Why do I need to know your business? Why can't you just stop performing for everyone around you and focus on your friends?

Okay, first and foremost, I want to point out that there are non-alcohol and non-smoking activities that you can do that are a lot of fun. Like bonfires, fugitive (I wonder if that's just a Nebraska thing), video games, movie nights, sports, camps, concerts, fishing, etc. And also, some people may not hang out with you BECAUSE you smoke and drink.

And you should definitely join sports and other social activities to meet and hang out with people (they HAVE to hang out with you if you are practicing together). And maybe you are too young to get a real job, but do they have detasseling where you live? Because again, it's just another opportunity to meet people... Although if the size of your town is relatively small, and you already know everyone, then it's more of an opportunity to get to know people. And always talk to everyone, even people who you don't really like that much... Because if you get one person from a group to really like you, that's all it takes to get invited to stuff.

    >a bolt of lightning has just jumped many KM across the open air. What difference could the last few CM of space or rubber make between the car and the ground? Hey, I was going to say that! I learned that at a public school, also, but I think they probably teach storm stuff better in Nebraska. Because we are the idiots who go outside and watch. And I don't know about The Happening, but The Strangers was STUPID STUPID STUPID. I am so mad at myself for wasting money on that...

I'm so amazed and impressed by how brave you are to have posted this, and I'm even more amazed and impressed by how you have become such a great person in spite of all the traumatic things that have happened to you.
