"Words have the power to both destroy and heal. When words are both true and kind, they can change our world." -- Buddha
It could literally be anything causing it. I know that's not much help, but I can help you with where to start... If you go back to when it started, try and think of anything you changed (eg: new belt/new washing powder/different diet even) and go through everything meticulously, it's the only way you'll figure out what's causing it... that's what I had to do with my silver belt buckle, because that was causing pretty much the same sort of thing, so sadly I can't wear it anymore, or if I do, only if I tuck the shirt into my trousers (which I hate to do).
It took a coupla weeks for the rash to go down after I stopped wearing it, so it could be a long process to work it out, or it could be instant... you won't know until you start trying. Or if you're really worried, go get checked out at the docs there's every chance they'll know right off what's causing it, cuz contrary to popular belief, they generally do know what they're talking about
I have to admit, when I was younger, all I ever wanted was to be a pilot in the RAF... when I was 15, I got glasses, and pretty much just coasted after that, because I didn't have a clue what to do besides :S
I do love to fly, and I did get a glider license for a while, and I eventually did join the RAF, just as a tradesman rather than a pilot, so I spent 9 years working in ICT for the RAF, which I've just finished, which means for the first time in 9 years, I have no idea what to do myself again!!
I can totally understand how things can get you down sometimes, but you have to find the things that you're better at than other people... heck, there's every chance that you'll end up a writer for something like NBC or someone like that, but you have to strive for your goals... most people in that kind of role get the jobs by proving themselves elsewhere, such as magazines, so it's really a good idea to start writing, and sending your stories off to magazines, it might be disappointing if they don't get published at first, but there's always the next one, and the next one, and the next one...
Life is there for the taking, but if you don't have ambition, you have to create that in yourself, or figure out where you want to be... it won't come overnight, but you have to make these decisions, because otherwise you will end up going nowhere really fast and you'll wonder why life passed you by!
I'll even use myself as an example... I decided a coupla years ago that I was going to leave the RAF this year, and I have... today in fact!! Because I wanted to try new things, and I wanted to go to NZ, so to that end, I fly next wednesday night!!
The world really is yours for the taking, if you can find the motivation to do what you want to do... you might get knocked back, but you'll get there in the end, if it's what you really want
I'm a great believer that everything happens for a reason, and yes, I have to admit it pretty much shattered my dreams to find out because I had glasses I couldn't be a pilot in the RAF, but if I had have been a pilot, I wouldn't have the life I have now, so I choose to be grateful for the way things work out I have the most beautiful gf in the whole wide world, and I'm happy to do pretty much any job, as long as it gets me enough money to survive, and live a relatively comfortable life with my lovely lady
So, the question you really gotta ask yourself is: "Do I feel lucky?" ... Well, do ya... Punk?*
*okay, sorry... I like to joke around... and I like Dirty Harry heh heh
I'd say my "meal portions" are probably to big, as you say... however I don't snack between meals, which I think is where I fall down... my calorie intake is roughly between 1800 - 2000 a day, where the recommended is 2500
Admittedly, I used to go waaaaaay over that before I started phys again properly (so about 2 years ago now) but I very very rarely go over that now... I think ideally, I need to do the six small meals a day thing to lose the weight really, which I will be starting on next friday methinks ... I know excuses for reasoning for and against a set date are pointless to start, cuz I should just start today, but I do have a multitude of reasons for saying next friday which aren't really something to be getting into on this post... not yet anyway
I'll also be doing swimming regularly from next Friday and I'm gonna try and be ready for some light impact stuff by then, cuz my backs already well on the mend again, the pain I had on sunday has subsided to the point where I can move around without hurting myself to much again, it's just considerably worse than it was this time last week :S
I know about the muscles, cuz I've tried just about everything to isolate the area without much success, I just wondered if anyone had any ideas... of course you're right to speak to my physio, which I will be doing again on friday this week
One thing I can say though... for anyone who's been watching this year's Top Gear; I totally agree with Clarkson... Audi drivers are all cocks! If it weren't for an Audi driver, my back would be fine!!!
And to top it off, despite it being repaired by my insurance company, my car has actually committed suicide (just before chrimbo) in the form of one of the cogs in the gearbox deciding to shatter and ruining the whole thing... bugger! Still, someone's interested in buying it, so hopefully I'll still sell it, just at a vastly reduced price :S
Anyway... rant over... time for the smiles again now... mmmm, NZ this time next friday
You're right to ask IMO, if in doubt... ask the question, the way I look at life; nomatter how stupid the question sounds, I'd rather ask the question and look stupid for the 10 or 20 seconds it takes me to get an answer, rather than spend my life feeling stupid for not having asked
Obviously, wiki IS the oracle of all  but I hafta add... if you've been potting the brown, you really shouldn't screw back for the pink before washing up, cuz that's a really good way of causing infections if you do that
And yes, only an englishman with the snooker references... I know, but hey at least I make myself smile  heh heh
Okidokey, a very brief back story here: last may, I was in a car accident which has messed my back up to the point where some days I can barely stand up I'm in so much pain, though it is getting better with physio...
Though, the reality is, while I've been on physio and seeing the docs, I haven't really been able to do very much phys, which is annoying me as I'd gotten my weight below obese for the first time in years... now, i'm back up there in the obese side of life, so I was just wondering if anyone has any tips on isolating the back out of exercising? As the majority of exercises, whether realising this or not require the back :S
I know swimming is good, and I've been trying to swim where I can, but apart from that... really, it's just annoying that I'm a fatty boom boom again after so much hard work :S ... anyone reckon I can get lipo off the insurance??? lmao!!
Hey, no worries it's what we're here for... to help each other out
If people can learn from the mistakes of others rather than their own, it makes for a much smoother ride... and I'm all for the motorway (highway for americans) myself... if I knew how to deal with every situation in the world without causing issues, believe me; I'd be out there doing it, but I don't... so instead, I content myself in the knowledge that my mistakes might be able to help others avoid the same pitfalls I've driven so blindly into!! lol
My life over the years has sometimes felt like a slow motion pile up on the hollywood highway of doom!!! But, we all get there eventually so, as the song so aptly states:
"don't worry, be happy" heh heh
If I were to guess, I'd say all of them!! heh heh
In all seriousness; there are two kinds of people in the world: wankers and liars!! heh heh
I don't really understand the female position on denying that they have these urges, but rather fortuitously, I am a man so I don't have to deny that yes... unless I get my rocks off at least once a day, I'm prone to being cranky!!! lol
My person opinion is: it's your body, and you should enjoy it every way you can... then learn to enjoy someone elses heh heh
