First off, let me say that I think you did the right thing in pushing a little to pursue the relationship as well as ending any chance of it after she acted in such a selfish way.
I have been very hurt in one particular past relationship and i compare it to every relationship since. I too have a "all guys are a-holes" outlook until I meet one that proves me wrong. That is exactly what I'm looking for though.. one to prove me wrong. I know there are some very worthy men who are wonderful, but I'm skeptical of who they are (as the guy who left me heartbroken 2 years ago was such and turned out to be horrible).
After this guy, I subconsciously led guys on because I was scared, not because I wanted to. I didn't know what I wanted. I came up with excuses and didn't realize what I was doing until one guy pushed so much that it made me realize.
Perhaps she was going through this and instead of realizing/caring that she was hurting you, she decided to be a bitch and treat you unlike you deserve.. sounds like she only focused on what she feels she deserves after coming out of a bad relationship previously.
Also, I always pay for everything and my income is so not disposable. I HATE paying for stuff, but my current boyfriend is too lazy to even get a job.. He offers to pay, but I feel bad because he doesn't have the money. So I always offer. I'm rethinking a lot of stuff because he actually has no ambition.. he lives off his parents.. and he won't even look at going to college, even though he graduated HS years ago.. You got a job when you needed one. You are looking to higher education, and just because she comes up with some lame excuse doesn't mean you have no ambition. Still, I think you should have paid or not gone out. Its completely unfair for someone to pay all the time, even if they do have money for it. She says its very disposable.. but its hardly about the money. Its the principle.
Regardless if you have diabetes or not, if you feel unable to work long hours, that's your prerogative. Some people just aren't built for that and I respect that. You do what you can. That should be enough for her.
Sorry it turned into a long post, but I thought it may shed more light on it.

    Hope it helped.

I'm about 25 lbs overweight and I just got a home elliptical (Schwinn 430) that I absolutely love. I wake up and do 30-45 minutes in the morning, then another 30-45 before I go to bed. A couple questions here..

First off, is it as efficient to do cardio both early and late in the day, or should it all be done in the morning? Secondly, in 1-1.5 hours, I'm averaging about 6-8 miles in each day and burning 550-750 calories. I feel comfortable enough doing this, and try to stay within a heart range of 135-155 (my resting is about 72).. I was just wondering if this is healthy/okay to do 7 days a week, and will it be okay to increase to 15 miles a day when I'm able to?

A few notes (I'm not sure if they matter or not).. I'm 23, female, about 145 lbs at 5'3", and eat about 5 small meals throughout the day, starting with some fruit first before working out in the morning. I'm also trying a lifestyle change and increasing the amount of organic foods and less pre-packaged and processed foods.. I drink at most one soda a month, and my only fast food setback is taco bell once or twice a month (I know its terrible, but its a habit I'm trying to break! haha).. I drink about 12 big glasses of water a day, and some milk or juice at least once a day as well... For the most part, I stay away from foods high in saturated and trans fats.. its really just pasta, cheese, and chocolate I need to cut back on..

My highest weight was 184 at 5'2" and I went on the Atkins diet and got down to about 140.. Then just by watching what i eat better, I got down to 128 over about a year.. Get out of a bad breakup in the winter then head to the parents house for summer break out of college and I managed to get back up to 145.. That's where I'm at now.. I would do Atkins again, but it made me feel weak (I lost a lot of muscle with the fat).. I also don't eat much meat anymore besides fish...

Anyway! I'm really motivated to lose the 25 pounds and keep it off, get healthy, and feel better.. I know it takes time to come off, but in anyone else's experiments how long until I get some results? Any tips? Any answers to my two questions above?

one of my ex-boyfriends had/has something similar to what you described... at least the upper arm part.. he never did anything about it and his dermatologist said it would go away on its own. i'm not sure what it was called, but it wasn't anything serious... just some skin condition or something.

his was usually off and on with how bad it was though...

if you don't want a baby right now, use a condom. a friend of mine is on the pill and she's been pregnant twice while on it... and she is one of those people who never miss a beat when it comes to taking the pill. unfortunately for the babies, both were miscarried. you better believe she uses condoms and the pill both now.

i understand neither of you have STDs, but using a condom is more than just preventing from diseases. its preventing you from becoming a parents. there is no magical little pill that is 100% effective.. and until there is, use a condom to help prevent a pregnancy you don't want..

i drink water all throughout the day and never seem to have my thirst quenched. it just started a couple weeks ago, so i'm starting to get worried.. i don't eat salty foods and never add salt.. i rarely have spicy things, and occaisionally eat sugary items.. i also have been craving fruit and salads, but think it may be because they have a higher water content than most staple foods (ie: bread, pastas, meats, etc.).. in addition to that, most meats have been making me feel disgusted or unlike eating for about 6 months now.. (all meats, especially turkey, chicken or pork)

i don't know if it's just me realizing all the crap people put into their bodies and forming some sort of subconscious repellant for it or what..

i'm not quite sure if the water and meat thing are related.. but does anyone into nutrition know what may be going on or why i have an unquenchable thirst or feel almost nauseous when eating meat?

    thanks!

yeah.. i love giving head (usually regardless of taste, as long as he keeps clean). i'm always hesitant to receive though. he loves doing it and says i taste great but i get overly self concious about it i suppose.. mainly because i've heard about the red meat, milk, and whatnot.. i eat a pretty healthy diet, but that's including red meat and milk 2x a day or so.. so i have my doubts about how i taste (i do think i taste good though... but still self concious..)
