Hey guys,I am freaking out here. After years of safe sex, I did something stupid last week and had unprotected sex with a new partner. Dumb I know. The VERY next day, I had a slightly odd feeling, not quite itching, not quite burning sensation in my penis. At first I just figured it was because she was rather rough with her hands, but I noticed the sensation was primarily noticeable during urination. Now, 5-6 days later, I notice a burning sensation at the tip of my penis after I finish urinating. It's really freaking me out. I checked out some sites on STD's, and it seems like two or three could fit this description. No other symptoms at this point. I read somewhere that it could also be an infection passed on? I'm new to all this, so where would I go to get tested? I don't have a personal doctor, and this is rather embarassing! Any self-tests that could be purchased? I'll go if I must, but not sure where to begin. I'm kicking myself for my stupidity!!

Your screwed, there is no self test kits for STD's.you have to go and where depends greatly on where you live. You can goto a planned parent hood in the U.S.. Any clinic should be able to help you out as well.

Thanks for the info. When finding a clinic, is there a certain type of clinic I should look for? Again, sorry if these sound like dumb questions, but I truly am clueless when it comes to this stuff. Thanks again for your help.

Like Chance said, planned parent, or if your in metroplitan setting than find the free clinic, if by chance your in college go to the school provided health services center and they can test you (for free if I remember right). What options are open to you is going to depend on were you are. Not knowing that, I'm afraid I can't be much more help.

I hope you went and got checked out by now.Chlamydia-Affects both men and women. In men, Chlamydia can cause NGU. Symptoms show up 7-28 days after having sex. Most women and some men have no symptoms. Symptoms for women may include discharge from the vagina, bleeding from the vagina between periods, burning or pain when you urinate (pee), need to urinate more often and pain in abdomen, sometime with fever and nausea. Symptoms for men may include water, white drip from the penis, burning or pain when you urinate (pee), need to urinate more often, and swollen or tender testicles. Spread during vaginal, anal and oral sex with someone who has Chlamydia. You can give Chlamydia to your sex partner(s). Can lead to more serious infection. Reproductive organs can be damaged. Women and possibly men may no longer be able to have children.
