Hey, it's me...the norwegian guy...for those who know who i am.Me and my girlfriend resently found out that we're having a baby...It's not what i have planed, but it's not un-wanted.I just had hoped that it would go more like into next year before we got any baby..Cause i want the best possible job and i want to know that i am safe (cant loose my job just, like that) so that my son/daughter could get the best possible upbringing...But i don't have a job right now, i have been applying for many jobs.. but have not gotten any answers back from the different placec iv'e applied. and that pisses me off.Im at the time in school..but only to the begining of this summer. Then i hoped i would get an answer or find myself a good job, my girlfriend's got a job. but she is gonna have a baby, and she cant work and take care of the baby at the same time..i got my own money trough school..but a job..HELL YEAH if you know what i mean...So is there anyone who can help me, or knows some tips or tricks. anything from job to baby things...It will be appreciated GREATLY.See ya (answers) later

See ya (answers) laterCongratulations! Having a child will be an amazing event in you and your girlfriend's lives ;).
I recently got accepted for a job, and boy, was it hard to get that one. Across the street from where I live, there is a 21 year old female who applied for around 250 jobs before finally getting an interview. Of those 250 jobs, only 12 replied saying she hadn't been successful. Luckily, she got the job that the interview was for; she was loosing hope fast.
You should be glad that Norway doesn't have Australia's "Industrial Reform" laws ;).
Anyway, seeing as I'm only 16, I can't really offer any advice for raising a child XD, but I can offer you job advice! Some tips:
*You've -really- got to learn how to sell yourself to the employer. Be honest, well-presented, polite, and early to interviews.
*Apply and hand in your resume EVERYWHERE, even in places that are not advertising work. Any job is better than no job, and it is a known fact (in Australia, dunno about Norway), that over 80% of positions are not advertised.
*Get a Resume if you haven't got one already.
That's all the advice I can really offer to you, but I can say one more thing: Good luck!

Congratulations to you and your gf. My wife and I are also expecting...I just hope your gf doesn't have to go through the nausea my wife has been having. That, and the fatigue. One trip to the mall and she's wiped out for the rest of the day.
-
congrats to you too Thor
-
Thank you Ms. Angel.

Congratulations man, becoming a father is possibly the only thing in this world that I'm really looking forward to. Wanting to raise a little human to be the best person that you can imagine them to be, then getting distracted by how perfect they are already and you completely forget your original plan so when they become a teenager you notice all the little mistakes you made as they scream at you and throw things at you and go out and have unprotected, drug-fuelled sex just to spite you... hmmm. I'm still looking forward to it!
-
Congrats to both of you, Thor and D@rkness. Remember when any parenting questions or issues come up there are plenty of people around here to ask for advice and what not. I'm just not one of those people. LoL
Best of wishes and luck to both of your expanding families.

Congratulations!!! Give your best efforts there, and I really hope that you'll find a good job soon. You'll have to face many troubles and worries ahead, because raising a child is a huge challenge for everyone. But I think it does worth the trouble after all
