Annoying acne & black marks

hi there. luckily for me i have never had acne, just a few pimples. BUT i do know a few things that can help. first off. dont pick at your acne, it makes it worse. and it scars, also, use a exfoliating face scrub either once or twice daily. this will dry out the skin. BUT the key thing to getting rid of acne is keeping your face moisturized. if your face is too dried out, then it gets irritated and breaks out again. so use a face cream after you wash your face. another good trick to opening your pores and helping with acne, is to actually boil some water, put it in a large bowl, and lean your face over it with a cloth over your head, for about 10-15 minutes a day. the steam helps prevent breakouts. eating healthy foods help your complexion too. avoid eating junk foods like chocolate and deep fried food, chips and soda. drink plenty of water too.as for the scarring, you may be able to get a type of medicated cream to put on them once you have washed and moisturized your face. you can also do a search on google for some remedies to rid scars. i was actually searching on there earlier for something similarhope i helped =)

There is an old saying my Dermatologist used to tell me "If your skin is oily dry it, if your skin is dry wet it"Basically since you have naturally oily skin you need to make sure your wash and dry your face appropriately. I had REALLY bad acne when I was younger and like you I had really oily skin. You need to make it a point to wash your face in the morning, midday, and before going to bed. You can find many different acne face washes, but what I like the best is the Acne/blackhead face scrub by St Ives Swiss (Apricot scrub). It helps to remove dead skin as well as fight acne and blackheads. After I wash my face I also use an Alcohol Free (or at least low alcohol) astringent. I use an astringent from Neutrogena called “Pore Refining Toner”. I end with an oil free moisturizer to make sure I don’t over dry the skin and keep it healthy. I know seems like a lot of work, but it’s worth it in the end for a clear complexion. My Acne was pretty severe and had to seek treatment from a dermatologist. The above information is what I use to help maintain the oils on my face and keep my skin clear after the treatment. I wish I would have known more about how to have healthy balanced skin before going to my dermatologist and taking a lot of different prescription medications to help control my acne. I will say however my above ritual really does work. My younger brother started to develop the same severe acne I had and I put him on this regiment and it really cleared up his face. Not saying that he, or even myself, don’t get the occasional pimple. But lets be honest, the occasional pimple is better than a face full of them. Hope this helps.

here's some info i found about home remedies for gettin rid of dark marks. thought i'd share just in case someone who is gettin the same prob. as me is readin this post. Home Remedies for Acne scars * Apply sandalwood paste with rosewater and leave it overnight over the scars. You can even apply a mixture of sandalwood paste and black gram paste. * For dark acne scars use lemon juice. Before applying, clean the scars with warm water and dab 1 tsp of lemon juice into a cotton ball and apply it on the scars and leave it for 10-15 minutes. Make sure to apply sunscreen prior to going out in the sun as lemon juice makes your skin photosensitive. * Cucumber with lemon juice or honey with lemon juice also helps. Honey also helps for chicken pox scars. However people with oily skin should avoid the use of honey. * Apply a paste of gram flour, curd, turmeric and lemon juice and leave for 10-20 minutes * Mix 1 tablespoon each of sour cream, yogurt, grinded oatmeal and few drops of lemon juice. Apply it on scars and leave for 10 minutes and rinse. * Gently rub baking soda paste on your scar for sixty seconds and rinse off. It acts as micro dermabrasion treatment for your skin. * Apply smashed pineapple on your face and leave it for 10 minutes. Wash it off with warm water. It will help in fading acne marks as pineapple contains ascorbic acid.

Try using a mineral foundation/cover-up.
I use this fantastic cover-up. Its made by a canadian woman. I don't know if u would have it where u r. I got it from Sephora. (that big makeup store)
The company is called cargo and its called one base. Its a foundation/coverup in one. Just use something like that.. and DAB the makeup into the needed areas.. Then put loose powder over top.
