Alright, so going on random rant now, any advice would be much appreciated. So, I've been friends with this girl for some time now, I've probably known her for about 3 years, but we only really started talking in the last year. She was in a very serious relationship for about 1.5 years, when her boyfriend broke up with her so that he could date somebody else (this happened maybe 6 months ago). I've liked her for a few weeks now, but I don't think I should do anything about it.You see, we have a fake relationship type dealio, just screwing around, being stupid as usual. So, we're 'engaged'. But randomly when we talk, we'll talk about "us" and I said yesterday it felt like she didn't want to be with me. I was actually serious, because she had been seemingly avoiding me, because she had not talked to me for a few days, and I hadn't seen her at school. She then said that she just didn't want to be with anyone because she's afraid that she will hurt them. Should I even bother telling her how I feel? She says that she isn't looking for a relationship because she doesn't want to hurt anyone, yet when we're always around each other, she's telling me how cute I am, seemingly flirting with me and so on.

if you two talk casually, then you may be able to bring up subtley that you would never hurt her on purpose. but if you really want to be with this girl, you have gotta give her time to unwind. the heart.... it heals slower than.... well it heals slow. you can help heal it only if she is willing to let you. in this situation, shes kinda calling the shots.... if she wants your help, you'll catch the hints and you two could get romantic, or even just closer. and if she needs to settle her issues alone, you might have to back off for a bit. good luck handling it!
