it's true, identifying the problem is the most important step.

Just need to talk

Well they said that it's not a blockage in the arteries, but there is a problem with the electrical firing of his heart. He's going back tomorrow for more testing.
-
I won't even bother giving my opinion on this. Who knows what the reaction would be this time...
-
if your not going to give an opinion, why would you respond to say so?[
hugs to katie -
Oh, that is good news Katie. He may perhaps just need a pacemaker??? That is a pretty simple procedure.

Wow. IN a way your dad was just handed a gift.I hope and pray he's the type to follow Dr.'s orders. If he does, I'm betting you'll have Daddy around for a long time.
-
well he went back to the docs to see what his blood test looked like and he's boarder line diabetic (runs in his family, both parents had it and his sister was just diognosed with it), his blood pressure is back to normal after being on medication for just two days, and his cholesteral is rather high and he's been put on medication for that. We'll find out what the other blood test/x-rays look like next wensday; I have faith that it's going to be okay. He'll get better. We're all going to make a life style change, and we'll get through this as a family. What needs to be done will be done.

> see what his blood test looked like and he's boarder line diabetic
How does you tell if one is diabetic by a blood test? A high A1C or something?
And explain what you mean by border-line diabetic
-
They measure his blood sugar through a series of test (what test exactly, I don't know). It means he doesn't have full blown diabetes, but if he doesn't make radical life style changes now he will in the near future.

Just make sure he follows the docs guidelines. My grandma had some heart issues a while ago and was told to stop smoking... whats the first thing she does? Smoke. I honestly wouldnt feel too terribly hurt if she croked and I dont want you to have to feel like that.
