College vs. University
-
The term "college" originally just meant a gathering together of people, and it is still used that way in a few senses, such as the US presidential Electoral College. Its use for some kind of educational institution varies a lot in different countries, and is often used more than one way even in the same country.

University is definately the best choice. As with anything else, with education you get what you pay for.
-
What's the difference though?Besides costs.
-
Better pricier universities may be able to afford higher caliber professors.
-
It's not where you go, it's where you finish.Edit: And weren't you banned?

Just one point I'd add here. In the case where one knows for certain what field he/she wants to go into: then the reputation of a particular school for that particular field can be important. Whether a university or college- there are surely certain schools which are considered exceptional in the field of architecture for example. I'm not saying it's essential, but if one has a choice, then choosing a school that is considered exceptional in a particular field can be helpful to a career.

What are you going for college right now? You should transfer to University; yea, it will be high school over again but I heard the job people hire more university people- +1 Uni..----Sdp - Does it matter who the professors are? They don't go on the diploma do they? I'd rather go to a prestigious school then.---I know, Thoughtful, but there are Architectual colleges and universities. Offer the same things, basically but I don't know the difference!

right now i'm a general art major. i can't make my mind up to if i want to stay general art or graphics........ my dad's been on my back about how a general art degree is crap. He'd way better like to see me in some business major but i'm not that smart. i will go to a University in probly another year. i want to get all the hard classes out of the way. Quote:Does it matter who the professors are? i dk how true this is but i have been told that (community /jr)colleges are easer than universities. that's why i'm getting all that i can at a community college and transferring to a uni.
