you continued to think about someone long after the relationship ended?.

Whats the longest?
-
Well I had a break up with the first guy I ever dated like 3 years ago and we're still good friends. One of my college professors has an ex husband... (I actually know my professor out of the class lol) and they got divorced some 13 years ago and are still great friends. Just bad chemistry... I know when my grandmother passed away, her ex husband who was still friends with her came. They had divorced about 2 years after my mother was born in 67 so that's... 39 years that they were friends after leaving one another... it's endless because many people still are great friends with someone they leave.CRAP!!! I Misread the question!! I thought it said talked... sorry!!

my current girlfriend, i thought about her the day that i met her, and every day after that, and then we went out during the 8th grade before summer, but i started bangin, and we kinda decided to stay friends... and then in the end of 10th grade we started dating again, and ive thought about her every day of my life since then...

I still think about them and it's been over 20 years!

Ouch -.-.....

i take it you mean in terms of obsessing over them?usually it takes a few weeks away from them. get in a routine of being with your mates and keeping yourself busy. you'll meet another potential partner and you'll get all excited and life will be fine.but in terms of still think of them, everyone has a memory and most can remmeber partners from decades ago! but you dont yearn for them, you dont pine for them. i'm over all my past relationships, i occasionally think of them and go "we could never have worked out, o well"

Been over three years now. He was my first love and we are still best friends, but there will always be feelings there.
-
I still think about him...it's been six years.
-
I must be the most cold hearted bastard. I never pined over anyone I broke up with. Maybe the occasional wank or something but not miss them....maybe I was just never serious about any of 'em.
-
That's because you haven't been with me and Eddie yet.

I hate to tell ya, your wrong there hun. I've been with both of ya... at least while ...um ...uh ...intensely thinking about both of ya.

Lol.. I don't mean to sound rude/arrogant however, I know what you have to do to get over someone I have seriously obsessed over one girl who messed with me.. I'm over her now.. And now there is another girl who.. I wouldn't say I obsess over however, she lingers on me... I am beginning to believe she always will. However, my problem is at least until next monday or tuesday I CAN'T move on.. why? I'm stuck at home I don't get to get out..She broke up with me right as college let out.. I never get out of my house when I'm in my home town.. i just don't fit in with the people in my home town. Lucky me I am about to go back to school where I will have a much larger pool of people to hang out with.

a year and still chugging along. not in an intese way! just a reminder of the past

I think about my exs from 4 years ago still. Sometimes I wonder what could have been different, or what things would have been like if we hadn't broken up, but really, it's more out of curious wonder than anything.
