I've been thinking about you today. With all the stuff you've got going on down there, It's pretty stellar of you to check in and let us know how you're doing.Glad you're well.
glad all is wellso, why the fuck is gas so expensive here? The price of oil is plinging but a little huricane threatens the gulf and I get screwerd at the pump. We don't even get oil from the gulf here!!
where do you live? It hit us yesterday afternoon. not too much damage around here but we did get really strong wind andabout 4 inches of rain. we lost power for about 6 hours but today it's a sunny day and it's like he never blew thruI hope your okay... send me a pm
well I'm glad youre okay... I was suppose to hit us much harder but it went your way instead....
Yeah, it was kinda fun... But omg, NO stores are open yet, well, I take that back, a couple are, but most aren't... I went to target yesterday to try to buy a phone charger(car charger for all Nokia models) and I was 5 dollars short, I lent money to my brother 2 days previous... And... I was pissed, because I don't have half my numbers, and I would like to be bored no longer. Basically, I walked up there, called mother to come get me, she wouldn't I walk home, 1 hour 30 minute walk... Especially with all the craziness on the roads, because street lights are out, still, I go back up to Target with my step dad 15 minutes after I get home and Target is CLOSED, I was like... 'Wtf?'
I have not been watching the news, even though i prolly should be... I do know however that my neighbors were being stupid during the storm... Me and my brother kept hearing laughing coming from outside, it was them outside in their yard running around in circles. Stupid..
Pretty darned windy around these parts. Louisville has had wind gusts today up to 75-80 mph. 60% of the city is without power and folks are being told to be prepared to be without power for a week or more. Can't you guys keep your damned hurricanes down there where they belong?!?
Sorry Damien... I'll try to keep it contained and live with the carnage...
We were without power for like, 20 hours, they SAID we would have none for like, a week, so, yeah...
It's good to know that you're fine. Living in florida, I definitely know where you're coming from with this situation.
we actually had part of a tree fall on the back room of our house. but we only had minor roof damage, which was astounding.
I really hope their okay... I'm glad you're okay and all is well. Call and check on the kids and see how they're doing
My daughter goes to WKU in Bowling Green. She said the storm that blew thru Louville was pretty bad... Not too much in Bowling green.Glad your okay.. We'll try to order the next hurricane to pound the shit out of the south.... Just for you..:O)

Looks like a creepy movie...Thanks! I'll have to look for in to rent or soemthing. Thanks for sharing
hey, no problemo. it's pretty good.
Well Ike was one hell of a storm, even came up and hit Ohio pretty hard. I lost my power last night around 7:30pm and it's still not back on, power lines down everywhere around my house. The electric pole infront of Adam's parents house snapped in half, so they'll be without electric for awhile. I even had large pieces of my neighbors roofs in my backyard this morning lol. But luckily, from what I can see my house itself weathered the storm, just doesn't seem like my neighbors were quite as lucky. The nice elderly couple across the street lost about all their siding from the one side of their house. Though we were hit "hard" I know it's nothing compared to what others went through and glad to hear those who live closer to the major hit are doing okay.
We were supposed to get tons of rain and wind but we're far enough north-west that we only got a light rain, mostly drizzle, some cool breezes and huge ass rainbows. It was great for sleeping away an entire Saturday.

We don't even get oil from the gulf here!! Oil is a global commodity. When one area of production goes off line, for any reason, buyers will go to other areas of production and buy from them to make up for the short fall. Thus, the world market is effected. The blip your seeing, I would imagine, has more to do with loss of the refining capacity and less to do with any great increase in the price of oil. Until the southern refiners are running again buyers are heading to your area and buying gas from northern refiners. So, your local gas supplier is having to bid against bidders from Eddie and Lish's area, who generally tank gas from Jersey and the gulf. The end result is you end up paying more.
