Today I was on the phone with one of my friends, well as I was going to bed, I went to itch my penis and i itched the head and there was a pain, so I got off the phone and checked it out, this had just appeared because I was peeing 30 minutes earlier, and I felt no pain, nothing.Right under the head of my penis on the shaft it looks like i have a burn mark, it looks wet, but I don't wanna touch it really because it does burn. I'm not too sure what it is, it's like a boxy looking burn, like I took one layer of skin off.Is this one of the symptoms of herpes? Thanks.

Another stupid herpes question

If you've not had any sexual contact, it might be a fungal infection. I'm not sure where you live, but the heat of the summer seems to encourage growth. It's easy to take care of, however, with an over-the-counter medication such as Lotrimin or Tinactin.

I masturbated yesterday, but it was doing the day, so I'm not sure why it would take that long to develop a burn, and it's not like I'm all that furious. :PAnd the last time I had sex was atleast 5-6 weeks ago.

Not everyone who is infected with the herpes virus will develop symptoms. Among those who do, the symptoms first appear within two to twenty days of infection. Symptoms that develop after the original infection are generally severer than those that appear in later episodes of the disease. The first stage of infection often involves a set of symptoms called a prodrome. The prodrome is a warning sign that an infection has begun to develop in the body. Some symptoms of a herpes prodrome include pain, burning, itching, or tingling at the site where the blisters will form. The prodrome lasts anywhere from a few hours to a few days.Following the prodrome, the characteristic herpes blisters begin to appear. Cold sore blisters first appear in the form of small red bumps that quickly fill with fluid. The blisters are very painful. They may either burst and form a scab or dry up and form a scab. The skin heals without scarring within six to ten days. The appearance of genital herpes is somewhat different. The blisters formed in the genital area also begin as small red bumps that fill with liquid. In dry areas, the blisters form a scab and heal within two to three weeks. In moist areas, the blisters usually break and form painful ulcers before healing. New blisters may form over a period of a week or longer. They may then join to form very large ulcers (open sores). The pain usually disappears after about two weeks. The blisters and ulcers heal without scarring in three to four weeks.Taken form this site.

Hm, it's not like, a small red bump or anything, it just looks like I'm missing a layer of skin, but it's leaking? o.O

If I read that right, the blister might of already popped, and that is why the oozing and pain.Still a chance it is herpes, especially if you have had sex before.Take that sore straight to a clinic and have the ooze tested, they can tell you then and there if it is herpes or not.

Even though going to the doctors to get this checked may seem scary DO IT. I have been in your position before and I didn't get it checked out and in the end I was in hospital with a very very nasty infection that could have been so much worse (I could have had to have a testicle removed thankfully I didn't and thankfully with antibiotic I was fine and any STI I did have was cured... if I indeed had an STI could have just been from an urinary tract infection). So my advice is go to the doctors, if you don't you will regret it. Your cock and balls is NOT something you leave when something bad happens, it is the last place you ever gamble health wise with.besides if you do there is a chance all will be fine, so don't worry too much. If anything do it for piece of mind and a better night sleep knowing what is wrong. There are many free clinics depending where you live where you can get tested free and confidentially and the staff are friendly and wont judge you (not that anywhere you would get tested would be any different). So google where you live and free sti testing and see what you can find, and next time you have sex, wear protection then you wont have to worry about this kind of stuff.
