Anybody see that movie???I'm so paranoid now! The government has a SUPER SMART computer that knows everything about us and it's going to KILL US ALL!You think they really have things like that? I think they do. They probably do. They're probably plotting to kill me right now for running that red light yesterday. IT WAS AN ACCIDENT! I HAD TO GET TO PRACTICE!!!You know what pissed me off about the movie? The stupid computer with the operator toned voice. "Open. The. Suit. Case. Or. Your. Son. Dies. Do It. Do it now. Or. Your. Son. Dies." I seriously wanted to whoop her behind. But she's a computer... so I can't.On the plus side... SHIA LABEOUF is SOO HOTT. Random bit of info but: NY Post referring to their Prez as a chimpanzee. Not cool, dude... not cool. Animal activists should have been ALL OVER THAT!!!

I think it's amusing that in movies the government is so all-powerful, but in real life it bungles so much.

I really liked the movie. You just need to remember that its JUST a movie and not real life.

Saw the movie, thought it was okay. I remember a while back before the movie came out a radio show talking about the microphone in our phones theory. I thought it was a bit creepy when I watched the movie. I think the attention that the cartoon in the NY Post received was blown out of porportion. We all act like crazy chimpanzees every once in a while.

Well, if acting like monkeys is wrong...then I'm in a whole buncha trouble! I agree, it was way too publicized, it was done before, and no one thought anything of it, you know?

Ugh, I hated this movie. For a popcorn flick, meh, it was alright. As a movie with substance? There was none. The plot was weak, the acting was weak, just everything about it.
Spoilers below:
Ugh, the ending was so hollywood. I just wanted Shia to die so that I could be satisfied, but I couldn't even get that out of the ending. The only reason I saw this was because my girlfriends mom wanted to see it, so we rented it, and watched it with her. I spent the majority of the movie laughing. Just...ugh. Not my thing at all.

I found that the movie got all the really exciting scenes over and done with at the begining. As far as the precept of the government being able to monitor everything, think of this...If they can monitor every phone, chat, forum, etc conversation and even conversations in the presence of phones and security cameras, YET, 911, Columbine, Oklahoma , etc etc happened... then one must reasonably assume that the government has knowingly let all those bad things happen.Extrapolate that further... the government, knowing of these events, could have easily stopped them but did not. So it follows that if the government knew of the plans and did not stop them, they must have wanted them to be carried out. And if you think of it, if they wanted the results of those events, they might have intentionaly cased those events.or maybe the concept of constant government monitoring is bullshit... If I'm killed by a govenment hit squad in my sleep tonight, we'll know the truth

I'll make sure to mourn for you, super. How very "The Patriots" thinking of you, from metal gear solid 2, if you didn't know, theres a whole convo about gov't control, very interesting. And i wanted to put this up earlier, but i couldn't embed it into the post, so here's a link, that probably accurately portrays the gov't... (don't mind the fact that it's from FullMetal, I found it funny, anyway...)http://media.photobucket.com/image/full%...s/fmaHAHAHA.gif
