Because I was noticing "yellowish" semen too at times. The doctor asked me how I knew it was "yellowish?", and "Do you have a white sink in the bathroom and do you sometimes masturbate right into the sink?"Yes."Is that when you've noticed your semen is yellowish?"Yes.He then asked me what color my urine usually was.Yellow."And how does your urine leave your body?"OH!!He told me there will often be a little mixing going on, and not to worry about it at all. It's normal.

Yellowish sperm

I don't buy that doctors story.. Probably something he just made up in his own mind. I could be wrong though.

It doesn't seem likely to me, either, that enough urine would be mixed in with semen to produce the slightly yellowish colour that is normal. I think it's more likely to have been part of the production. Most body fluids have a bit of yellow in them.

Why? What is the yellow a protein? What's it's function? -
It's not due to protein, but to tetrapyrroles - mainly bilirubin within cells and blood, and urobilin in urine. These tetrapyrroles used to be considered as mere waste products of haemoglobin breakdown, but may have other functions, such as antioxidants.

I found the jelly stuff in my semen if I have not masturbated for a long time. But not always. And I think semen is not purely white. It is always a bit yellowish.

Been struggling with this for over 6 years. Doctors don't have a clue about this illness. A couple of months ago I've read some guy's blog and his solution is the only thing that actually make things much better for me. Hope it will come handy for some of you. Take good care fellows.
