Hi Everyone!! Most of us [myself included - at one time] associate the word 'yeast' [as in 'yeast infection'] with women. It's a 'female thing'. Nothing could be further from the truth. For many years now - I have suffered from an overgrowth of yeast. The type of yeast that most commonly overgrows in humans of BOTH sexes [and what has most likely been causing ME so many problems] is called 'Candida Albicans'. The presence of yeasts in the body is perfectly normal. Other types of bacteria keep the yeast under control. That control can be disrupted - however - and when it is - yeast can go mental and have a party in your body!! WHEN yeast [candida] is allowed to overgrow - it can convert itself from a yeast to a fungus - complete with hair-like 'legs' called mycelia. These 'legs' can bore into the membrane of the digestive tract and damage the digestive lining. Once it does that - it can find its' way to the bloodstream. Once in your blood - it can literally effect ANY part of your body. [pretty scary, eh?] Once it has done that - it becomes a 'Systemic Yeast Infection' known as Candidiasis. How can someone's body lose control of its' yeast? Quite simply. Very often people [again - like myself] who have had at one time an extensive use of anti-biotics often have yeast problems. I'm also a sugar addict - and yeast LOVES sugar. How do you know that YOU might have a yeast problem? Well.. here are just a very few things that can happen to you IF the yeast in your body has overgrown. Depression, anxiety, mood swings, feeling 'spacey', fatique, headaches, tingling, insomnia, loss of balance, food allergies, constipation, diarrhoea, irritable bowel syndrome, irritation around the anus, sores in the mouth, sore throat, nasal congestion, shortness of breath, easy bruising, cold hands and feet, having to pee a lot, period pain, prostate problems, vaginal thrush, eczema, psoriasis, rashes, itching, athlete's foot, ringworm, fungal nails, bad breathe, sneezing, cold like symptoms, frequent infections, recurrent ear infections, craving for sweet foods, sensitivity to perfumes and tobacco smoke. And on and on and on and on. I truly believe that MANY of the physical problem's that people have are caused by having an overgrowth of yeast in their body. Especially those who have been told by their doctor that there is nothing wrong with them. And sadly - many doctor's [because they have ego's - they everyone else] are unable to admit they they do not know what the problem is. Instead of saying that - they often will accuse a patient of imagining their problems. How insulting is that?! How do you get rid of that excess yeast? Not easily - unfortunately. [as I know all too well] The very first thing you should do is change WHAT you EAT. Stop eating sugar and white flour. Quite often - by just doing that [which isn't easy] you can get some idea as to IF your body really does have too much yeast. Other than that - there's not much I can tell you. I'm always looking around the net for a new ideas - and there are some. But it kinda scares me to take something [a pill or whatever] that I've never heard of before. Why did I take the time to post all of this? Because it truly frustrates me to know that many people live their entire lives feeling not nearly as good as they ought to feel. AND quite possibly - the reason for that is an overgrowth of yeast. Taking care of your body means just that. Do whatever it takes to feel better and do your best to avoid adding even MORE poisons [i.e. drugs] to you body - IF at all possible. Would you put diesel in a car that took gas? Probably not. So why would you put junk food into YOUR body? Of course - I'm the last to talk. But knowing this is the first step. Maybe - together - we can ALL start to feel a bit better. GREAT BIG HUGCraig!!

An overgrowth of YEAST

Hi Craig,
Great Post!A few things that I agree with you on are doctors don't always have all the answers. Sometimes they misdiagnose or simply dont have the resources to pinpoint a problem.
One thing that I don't see happening here in the US a lot is a doctor telling their patients they are imagining things. Here, they could get sued for that.
And though I see a lot of truth in what you are saying about an overgrowth of yeast in the body, we simply cant blame yeast for everyone's problems.
I DO believe that information like that is important for everyone to at least be aware of so thank you for that info! -
Hi Sexpert!! Thanks!!You said, ".....we simply cant blame yeast for everyone's problems." And I agree. That's why I said, "I truly believe that MANY of the physical problem's that people have are caused by having an overgrowth of yeast in their body. Especially those who have been told by their doctor that there is nothing wrong with them."I am making a point of this just so no one [including yourself] gets the wrong impression and thinks that I'm blaming yeast for every problem. [because nothing could be further from the truth] But there's a reason why many [and I do mean many] North American's [in particular] are sugar addicts. On average - an American consumes 120 lbs of sugar each year. ON AVERAGE!! That's horrible. And since yeast lives on sugar - it creates a need within the body to consume more of the 'white stuff'. [in one form or another] Next time you [or anyone else reading this] walks through a grocery store - pick up a few cans of 'this' and bags of 'that' and read the ingredients. I think most people would be shocked to find out just how many things have sugar in them. [even most cans of PEAS have sugar!!] GREAT BIG HUGCraig!!
