I'm just sick of life..

You posted here because deep down you thought maybe there would be someone who you could relate to... Truth is what I am going to say may not be the brightest thing to hear, only because I usually say what is the most realisic.Depression: Fortunately what the others here have posted is correct. Depression makes most of the world 'seem' grey and makes you lose the will to find a goal or continue one. But, sometimes, the world IS grey. Am I saying that there is nothing bright out in the world? Absolutely not! But, what I am saying is that especially around the college age things tend to seem futile. This feeling of hopelessness, futility, probably some anger and resentment is just as much generational as it is age wise. We are expected from pretty much as a young child, at least with me, to know what we want, when to get it, and that failure is no option. Thus, many of us burn out very early... There are only a few options when it comes to depression. Ask for help, i believe your on that path, ride it out and maybe it will end. or actively end it your self. No path is easy but any path will help.College: Take it from one who has switched majors many many many times. Do what you at least like. College will be absymal if you do not at least like the subjects your studying. College people: Do not put too much hope in the people you meet. The best one can hope for if they want some meaning is to find a small (only because thats what it ends up being) group of friends and truly enjoy each others company. Everyone else will come and go. There is no super popular person that is so awesome that everyone wishes they were him/her. Because truthfully, they wish too that they were someone else. Lastly-Life: It always goes on, with or with out you. We hopefully will all be old folk one day. We will either be old and felt like we did something or old and still wish. But in either scenario we will be. Final words:Enjoy your college experience by doing what you love. Expect a ton out of others and you might be disappointed. Study hard, it just might count for something one day. But most of all have some fun because there is one thing we cant get back: Our time. Everything else is correctable. You will find happiness if you WANT it. You just have to find that fire that burns with in you and discover that desire to know. Once you find that fire, depression fades rather quickly and life begins to have meaning."If you want to make God laugh, tell Him you have plans."

look deeply at yourself. You should be able to find it...do you see it? It's something no one else in this world has...it's you! Who cares about weather you're social or not? You have all those great things inside you, you really don't need others to find something within yourself you could laugh at, be proud of, cry about (what's wrong with crying? EVERYBODY'S doin' it?) But remember, WHO CARES ABOUT EVERYBODY. You're giving other people the credit YOU deserve. Maybe you lack of socializing has kept you away from joining a gang, or getting some kind of sexually transmitted disease. Don't worry about the things you don't have, bud, focus on what you can do, and work to improve it. Make it better, perfect it. Masters do not become masters by focusing on what others are doing, how much money they have or where they're going in life. FUCK ALL THEM. Work on you, and people will seek you out without making that extra effort, only the effort you dedicate to yourself. BTW I have never had a goal in my life (Not Joking) but I am proud of where I am in my life, after many years of suicidal tendencies and not believing in God and thinking my life was an eternal curse brought to me from the Heavens. Now, there is no person who lives or has ever lived that I would rather trade my life with. Everything happens for a reason (and in my opinion, everything is pre-destined). Now I give thanks to God for EVERYTHING that happens to me, even getting mugged or almost killed, because I know if Im not dead, I can still learn, become stronger, and still be alive to tell the stories that may inspire others. God? He's in my heart. I don't have to use him as a tool to get me outta situations, or attend Church to have his Wisdom. Its in all of us, we are a product of him.

It may have help you in some way, but I don't think brainwashing onerself with religion is the only way out of depression.
-
Neither do I, or did it seem that way to you? That was only one small aspect of what I was saying.BTW, where the hell did you pull "brainwashing" out from, yo ass? re-read the damn post. If I seem religious to you, then may the heavens rain upon thou head.
-
I'm not holding my breath waiting for the heavens to come down, but I'm glad you found what you needed.
-
You don't have to hold your breath, you live in Mi Am A.It will happen.
-
Is this a Sodom and Gomorrah reference? Because if that stuff is true, Miami will be the first city to be sucked into the void.
-
Not LA? Damn, Miami must not be the way I remember...

you sound just like my ex boyfriend ever since we started dating he would freak out on his birth day about how the next step was working and then dying (at 15 three years ago) Just focus on enjoying what you have and work on meeting new people if you are having trouble making friends make sure that you are not being stand offish or cocky (ex boyfriends prob) try and be care free and find something you love to do and run with it. school should be important but you have plenty of time to find out what you are doing with your life and college isnt always the answer but it looks nicer to have a degree. Cheer up and never think that no one loves you b/c i bet if you open your eyes and look around you even if its just your family more people love you and carefor you then you know.

The whole above post^^^BINGO!

i completely understand where you are coming from...i have those feeling alot myself...strangely enough I have lots of friends, hobbies, successful but I still feel alone and inadequate.College is a good place to meet people. Some people will be with you for all 4 yrs. Dont let the opportunity go by to bring new people into your life. Its amazing how easy it is to befriend people in college...im a social retard and people talked to me...There are lots of qualities you have that YOU can use to bring joy into other people's lifes. This life isn't our own. The only time ANY of us become worth a damn is when we use ourselves to help others. Find out what your talent is (I'm sure you have some talent and if you don't keep searching you will find it)Let that be your passion and work at it. I ain't gonna tell you that BS lie that if you do that everything will fall into place and you'll live happily ever after cause it may not (stuff in my life isn't "falling into place")...However, this life is not for ourselves I dont believe. I, as well as you, can either sit around and mope about our current situation or we can make the most of our lifes...Its a choice; its that simple...I know its tuff getting started when your whole world is caved in but if you need anyone to talk to feel free to email me...As I always say when I start feeling down "by god Im gonna beat this world and they aint gonna get the best of me....im gonna win!"
