Well the vehicle situation has changed. I am taking a project vehicle approach, and I have burnt all my money on fixin it up. I could have my 3" lift and 30" tires with nice black rims by tuesday. I think I am going to have a heart attack.

A turn around
-
That's awsome lol Are you trying to make your car look like the one you showed me the other day?
-
What are you planning for the engine? I know there is plenty of power the can be unlocked in those inline 6s.
-
I plan on just putting mod chip for the engines computer. Performance headers will go on, and right now I have a performance exhaust and catalytic converter coming in/
-
That's awesome. What type of exhaust are you getting and what chip? I have a Flowmaster exhaust with cutoff pipes and everyone knows when I'm coming way before I get there. I don't remember what chip I put in it but it sure does move.

Some 22s... lowering kit... Hell yeah.... I wont have my Silverado for atleast 8 months Whatcha got? Go all suspension.. Body lifts are shit.. BFG is the best damn tire on the market. Speedo will be off... Jumping trucks is fun.. Try it some time...
-
well i actually researched the tires, and i found that the Kumho Venture M/T's are just are dependable and a bit superior than BDS tires. Jeep Cherokees cannot use body lifts b/c there are unibody construction. I am going to start small with lift to save money b/c of college and such. The lift is going to be from a 3" combination coil spring spacer (i think it is) and a 1.5" spacer block in rear with 1.5" greasable shackles.

**I love cars, we always tinker with ours..........stainless exausts, lowering kits, induction, etc etc........you gonna take a pic so we can see the transformation hon, i would love to see it. **
-
yeah...i was thinkin of picking up a throw away digital camera considering i do not have one. I will take some picks of my Jeep now and some picks of me flexing my Jeep on some logs.
-
ahh.. Cherokees... Those thing are awesome in the hills! I have a Bronco.. I was going to go for this kit but with gas prices reaching 3 a gallon and only getting 8mpg, I've pretty much decieded I need to sell my toy and buy something that wont cost me a $100 to fill up. Plus that kit will cost me about 8k.. buts it would be worth it. Espacilly when I show all those kids up in there dads Tacomas, even tho Tacomas jump pretty nice. Except if its stock, need some sort of rear counter weight to keep your front end from coming down hard.. Been there, learned that... lol... Post up when its complete!
-
well keep this thread active and I can post, what has gone onto my jeep and such. And I will have a link for ya when i get pictures of where you can see it.
-
Alright! cool! You doing all the work yourself? You get more of a sense of accomplishment doing it that way. Which is cool sometimes. Plus, what are shops charging for labor these days?
-
I do have a question for you.... Have you come across any used transfer cases for a Ford Bronco (F-150 will fit too)? Its a Borg Warner, with manual engagment. Im trying to avoid paying a shop or rebuilding it myself. Just be nice to slip it in, ya know? Im going to keep my truck for atleast a month.. just to have a little fun, then I think its time to put that plastic sign on it I do have one question... What kind of milage you getting? Having a SUV still would rock, even tho it wont be my 5.8l V8
-
with my cherokee i get about 16-22 miles a gallon, but you gotta know how to drive it.As for that part...I have seen a few borg warner cases....i will check it out...it might be what you are looking for.Yes I am doing all the work myself except for the tires....Just because i do not have a balncer, but I order the tires in, it is cheaper. I am going to get a set of Kumho Venture M/T's heard good things, so i will try them out.
