In other words, you were raped. It's terrible that the guy got away with that.
-
How special was your first time?
-
I'm so sorry to hear that amy. Get some counseling and see what you can do to press charges on this guy. HOw long ago did this happen?
-
the night before last. the thing is though because i was so drunk i couldnt physically stop him and i didnt really try even though i wanted him to stop. makes me physically sick thinking about it. havent really been able to eat anything since. i dont think it would help to press charges. i wont be seeing the guy ever again anyway. wanker. thanks for the support. its just what i need right now. im feeling pretty fragile.
-
i dont think it would help to press charges.WHAT?!?!?!? It certainly matters to the next girl he rapes because you didn't press charges. You need to do something about this.
-
i know it would help if he got charged but i just dont think he would just cos i didnt put up much of a fight. id rather not put myself through it all to not get any sort of result out of it. if there was the slightest chance he would get charged then id do it but he wont. im just hoping now that he hasnt given me anything. i know im not pregnant cos i went to the clinic the next morning but i have to wait another month to have a clamidia screening or something. it wouldnt surprise me if he did give me something. cant help but wonder how many times its happened in the past to other girls
-
> i didnt put up much of a fight.
Legally that makes no difference, even if you were sober. How much of a fight can a drunk person be expected to put up?
> id rather not put myself through it all to not get any sort of result out of it. if there was the slightest chance he would get charged then id do it but he wont.
You're rationalizing because it would be emotionally difficult. I understand that. But if you file a complaint, with the story you related, he will almost certainly be charged. Ideally, it would be good if you had the rape kit thing done.
To repeat, if you file a complaint, he will be charged, and you may just save another woman (or two or three) from being raped. Do it now! You need to contact the police, or a rape crisis hotline. I am totally serious.
-
SteveA is right, Its not too late to press charges. A lot of girls get raped the same way you did and dont report it because they think they dont have a case. Do yourself and the next girl a favor and report it. Start off by talking to someone about this first. A close friend, a family member.
-
A close friend, a family member.Or a doctor or a rape hotline. The people who did the pregnancy test...I presume you didn't tell them what happened. You should. They will be able to help.In any case, you don't have the expertise to know what a good case is. If the people who actually do know tell you that there's no case, then there's no case. But the consultation will be confidential. In the long term, I think you will do more damage to yourself if you just let it go.
-
A rape hotline is an especially good idea. They've seen this happen before, and can give advice not only on whether a legal case would be strong enough, but also whether the stress involved would be worth it. They should know all the options available.
-
definatley press charges nobody should have to go through something like that. :frowning:
-
im not saying dont press charges but seriously, these days rape allegations dont get anywhere, the guy usually does gets away, and the girl had to go through even more emotional trauma explaining every single last detail and usually gets humilaited. im not suprised that most girls dont report rapes. of course its a shit and stupid system and i dont think its a good thing that these guys can get away with it but seriously who wants to go through all that pain again? i wouldnttake care of yourself, amy and do whatever you think is right, it would be a good idea to call a rape line or talk to someone close and if there isnt anyone you can trust, go to the docs and see if they can help you out.did he use a condom?
-
these days rape allegations dont get anywhereAre you pulling that out of your ass, or do you have something to back it up?Keep in mind that the U.S. is not England. According to statistics from this University of Rochester (NY) Web page, nearly half of rape arrests end in conviction. I'm not saying that pursing a rape conviction is a walk in the park, but letting someone get away scott free to do it again is just wrong.Amy, in your case, is statutory rape a possibility?
-
sounds like it's from the ass
-
-
sounds like something a rapist would say to make it more difficult for the victim to try to report it. Like steve said, its better to report it than to just let it go.

i work for a law enforcement agency and it really disappoints me when people don't call upon us to do things like, enforce the law. people want to call us up and complian that gas prices are through the roof, or that their power is still out, but yet when they get raped or their husband/wife beats them we don't hear a peep. (sorry for the rant) but like someone else said it's not easy going through the process but don't let him just think he can do it again. i know a girl who was NEARLY molested (i say nearly b/c nothing physical actually happened, but if it wasn't for her dad coming in the house it, he was seconds away from physically molesting her), they pressed charges but he bailed out (parents had money) but the warrent is still active in FL, so he can't come back to the state. (sorry another rant). but plz rely on law enforcement to do their job. trust me they can't stand rapist as much as you can, if not worse.
-
thank you so much for replying mnm23!!See everyone, here is a good example of someone in law enforcement who wants to help.
-
thank you abc123!
-
jeus how long do some of you guys last on your first time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
geez dude, you could at least put '???'s and not '!!!!'s if ur asking a question sigh.ANYWAYS, first time i didn't last very long at all, less than a minute i'd say, once i was in and pumping. putting on a condom REALLY helped at first but then i got to the point where i could feel nothing.
