The school year started and I still can't sleep. I tried getting my clock back in tune before the year, but it just didn't work.Have any suggestions?

Can't sleep

force your self to get up early, believe me you'll crash early too.Or, forget all about sleeping and get coffee

I had that problem last year...Some nights I did tylonel (sp) PM, and then other nights I'd let myself stay up until about 3 or 4, then the next night, I'd go to bed early, and eventully everything would work out. This year two or so weeks before we start school again, I'm going to wake myself up an hour or two hours earlier every day, until I'm up at 4:15 awake..dressed..and "ready to leave" Hope that helped...

Set your clock for the morning and get up at the same time every day. Don't hang around in bed too long after the alarm goes off. When trying to fall asleep, concentrate on something monotonous, like your breathing. Relax the parts of your body one at a time, starting with your toes, then your feet, then your ankles, feeling the stress and tension draining out of the bottom of your feet. Then relax the calves and the knees...ZZZZZzzzzz.

You guys married or something? And 4:15 AM? I hope you're going to school a few time zones to the east.
-
What's wrong with 4:15? I get up at 4:30.

Eh. I'm on drill teams and colorguards with ROTC. there fore I have to be at school around 5:15-5:30 for practice, since basketball teams at what not get first priority of the floor and they want afternoons. Yeah nothing like getting up at 4:15 in the morning to throw and spin rifles and sabers!

I sleep well due to working out for 2 hours a day. I instruct a step class at the local Y and I workout after that with weights and a swimming pool. Believe me, you'll be tired from that. If that doesn't work, try a glass of wine at night. That always relaxes me.
