-Let me just start off by saying, I'm new.-Last night after I was done masturbating, I noticed a small bruise on my penis. My guess is that it's from a lot of masturbation. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, is it normal?? ..and do you think I should lay off masturbating for a couple days? [I don't know if I'll be able to though lol..]

Bruise on penis...
-
Yes to both questions.
-
Welcome to A2A, Mike! Where is the bruise exactly? You might be able to change your technique to avoid it.
-
It's on the side of my cock that faces out when it's erect. The skin you don't see when it's soft.
-
I was having trouble visualising that, but I presume you mean the underside? You could try stroking the top side only and see if that is enough.
-
Haha, sorry ..I worded that terribly. Yes, I meant the underside. And I've tried doing it on the other side before but for some reason it doesn't give me the same results.
-
You need to use lubricant, if your cirumcised. K-Y, vegetable oil, saliva, skin cream, and hair conditioner (some claim) are all good lubricants. Do not use soap or shampoo or you will really be sore.
-
There is a difference between a bruise and abrasions caused by masturbation. The remedies that you described will certain help prevent friction burns but will do nothing for bruises. A bruise is caused by a hard hit from something or perhaps squeezing too hard.
-
Okay, thanks guys. When I woke up this morning, the bruise was smaller and less visible, because I didn't masturbate at all yesterday. I think maybe if I can keep up one more day, it should be pretty much gone by tomorrow.
-
Yup and then you can start going agin heh...sorry had to :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I seriously doubt that he was using the word "bruise" in the technical sense, and I didn't want to go all academic on him on the difference between a bruise and and an abrasion. Unless you have a bleeding disorder or diabetes, it's not easy to bruise the penis while masturbating, short of hitting it with a hammer. But if you do have a bleeding disorder, using lube should be a big help.
In either case, it will heal. But if it's an abrasion, you certainly want to keep it clean, to prevent infection.

I don't have a bleeding disorder, so it's probably just an abrasion. I knew it didn't really look like a normal bruise, but that was just the first thing that came to mind. But thanks for the advice and everything.
