You know what I mean. You should, I know what you are saying. Understand it. I am not going to let your penchant for arguing draw me in. Too much wasted time. You even pitched a soft ball, and I am going to ignore it. Not taking the bait.

Sorry, I don't always know what you mean. I'm not a mind reader. If you want a guaranty of no comments, keep a diary. Or think about what you wrote before you hit the "post" button.

Too late? Not at all my literary, Purdue-bound aquaitance.

It could be the start of the apocalypse. Or an economic recession.

Wife and I split a few weeks ago. She wanted the GMC "Jimmy" with a 4.3 engine/four wheel drive. I let her have it with no fight. I have my four banger, standard trany puckup. I am serene. I am also waiting for her to suggest we trade vehicles. Leverage is so good

My sister got a Chevy Tahoe 4WD and gets about 14 mpg. They paid $42,000 for it and never take it off-road. Now that she's expecting her second child, she wants to trade it for a Suburban because they claim they need more room. I just don't get it.

All the gas we waste means, in the long (and short) run, less oil for everyone. Now, why do they hate us? Something to do with freedom?
-
did anyone notice that the cost of a barrel of crude actally dropped slightly today?bend over and say "thanks"!Never forget, ths consumer public are sheep. In a month or so, we will be so thankfull that gas dropped back to a buck a litre (Canada) rather than wanting it back to what it's worth.Coke figured this out in the 80's. Consumers are stupid.

What's wrong with stealing from corporations? I don't advocate stealing from the family run service station with the old man and lady working there who have run the place for 50 years, but stealing from the mega-25 pump fast-food, hotel, and convienence store combonation superstation, yeah it's morally cool, no one loses there. And what kind of loser would run after a car, anyone I know who works at a gas station wouldnt give a damn.
-
Some gas stations in Atlanta are charging over $6 a gallon! That's almost as expensive as a carton of wine.Coke is cheap because corn sweetner is chaper than dirt. But you're right...if they can manipulate prices even a little, we're talking big bucks, given the nuber of bottles they sell each month.
-
Stealing from any business is concidered in their cost as "shrinkage".That cost is what they mark up as their sell price. So unless you plan to steal everything, you will pay for your own theft and the teft of others in the long run. But, of course, it seems that you can't see beyond the tip of your own nose.
-
I dont care, my stealing really won't do much to the price of gas, it inflated long before I began driving and even if I pay for my gas it won't stop going up. But I made a $200 donation the the red cross so i figure im even as far as the karma thing goes.

the Coke thing..."we'll never change our recepe"New Coke comes outeveryone hates New CokeCokacola Classic comes outCoke is suddenly the #1 soda-pop in the world.it's absolute marketing genius! Piss off ypu customer, back down and sell then the same old shit at a higher price than originally.Rogers Cable did the same thing with their "negative option billing"They screwed their customers, backed off yet everyonr was still paying more and patting themselves on the back for their victory.consumers are fucking stupid sheep!

funny to hear a racist talking about Karma.
If you were the only thief in the world, then no, it wouldn't affect cost. Unfortunately, you are amongst much company. -
> yeah it's morally cool, no one loses there.
Where do you draw the line? Does it become suddenly OK to steal when a business has a turnover of a hundred thousand dollars? A million dollars? Ten million dollars?
Corporations don't exist in a vacuum. They are owned by their shareholders. A lot of small businesses are also incorporated, but in some cases, the guy running it owns all of the stock. Even so, stealing from his business causes him the same damage as stealing from his personal bank account.
When you rip off a big company, you're taking a tiny bit out of the pocket of each shareholder. Shareholders are rich people, working people, people who have money in retirement accounts, pension funds, etc. I.e., just people. So you steal a little bit, then the next guy steals a little bit, and so on. Pretty soon, you're taking a big chunk of change out of all of the shareholders' pockets.
And while your doing this, you're hurting the company's ability to hire people. In other words, you're destroying jobs. Stealing and putting the proceeds in your own pocket doesn't sound very Robin Hood-like to me. You have quite a sense of entitlement.
> And what kind of loser would run after a car, anyone I know who works at a gas station wouldnt give a damn.
Some gas stations are privately owned. They usually run at pretty thin margins. Stealing from those guys is the same as stealing from any small business.
Since you're in college, might I recommend a course in ethics?

Coke gives me gas.

Racist? What? How am I a racist? And fuck shareholders, theyre all wall street assholes, i hate modern society i wish we were back in the stone age before literacy and modern medicine.

And fuck shareholders, theyre all wall street assholesWhen you get a retirement plan, you can fuck yourself.> i hate modern society i wish we were back in the stone age before literacy and modern medicine. You wouldn't last five minutes. If you want to give it a whirl, buy a cabin in Montana and ilve off the land. You can still write letters.

Well just an update. I didn't get a chance to see the gas station this morning but on the way home sure enough all the gas station were $3.09 a gallon except one that was $2.99, where I filled up. I spoke to my ex in Cleveland and he said he seen stations as high as $3.36 a gallon. Curious how long the prices will stay this high.
