Lately I've been having some trouble getting a decent nights sleep, if any sleep at all... I havent always had this problem, in fact I never have.. At most I've just had trouble getting on a normal sleep schedule.. Where.. I am up during the day and sleeping at night.. Thats sort of how this started.. Getting off schedule..I was all out of wack sleep wise.. Staying up till 6 in the morning, sleeping till 2 in the afternoon.. But it's worse now.. I cant go to sleep, and when I do sleep its restless and unsatisfying.. It only goes on for a couple nights at a time.. I'll hardly sleep at all, then a day or two will go by where I sleep regularly.. Anyway.. Any random tips on how to get to sleep? Hugs,AG

Mild Insomnia

Yeah, I know how that is. I have the same problem Try taking half a dose of an OTC sleep aid. That's what my doctor told me to do. If you're really concnerced about it go see a doctor, but drinking some sleepytime tea or reading a book in bed should do the trick. Oh yeah, and stay on scheadule when you can. don't stay up tll all hours on the weekends, and then expect your body to bounce back for the week. That's not how it works.Hope this helped.

If i can't get to sleep sometimes, i masterbate blush it relaxes me, and i just drift off afterwards Reading is a must for me, if i go to bed and turn off the light straight away i can't sleep my mind wanders, then i get pissed off with myself for not sleeping, spend time looking at the clock thinking shit i have to get up soon etc etc......its sooo counter productive. My other half finds it hard to sleep........it gradually gets worse and worse until hes going to bed at 6am...........to knock himself back into sleeping when it gets out of hand, he doesn't go to bed at all one night, has 3-4 hours the next day, and then he is tired before midnight that night, which means he sleeps, gets up early and things are ok for a while...........but he gradually slips back..........I need so much sleep i can't imagine how anyone functions without a good nights sleep, i feel for you hon i really do hugs

Thanks for your replies. I do have sleepytime tea, I love it.. But it doesnt make me sleepy hehe. Boo!! I'll try reading a book in bed.. Hell I've even heard of the masturbation to help relax, haha.. It gives me energy.. Sex and masturbation both.. I swear I'm an odd one!!!! I think the book in bed is my best bet. Thanks everyone!AG

Hey!!
I had the same tips that the other people gave you off my doctor..
He said to try to sleep for a couple of hours by letting my body relax, make sure that the room was a good temperature (invest in a fan or heater if not).. and to read my book.
When I had been there for a while, and I still couldn't sleep, he suggested getting out of bed and turning the main light on. Then going into a different room completely for about 30 minutes or so and doing something like reading or having a drink (no tv or radio, it stimulates your brain too much) then to return to the room and make it dark again. Apparently (not sure how true this is) it helps to release more melatonin with the change in light, and should help stimulate the sleep cycle.
Sorry if I waffled on a bit there  -
Interesting, thanks.. I'll try that.

Try doing more activities during the day like exercising, walking, etc. You can also take something to help you sleep like Tylenol PM or if you prefer herbal, Valerian Root, it seems to have a calming effect. Melatonin also works as well. Save the bedroom for sleep only and don't do any other activities in there except sex. Try turning out the lights at 10-11p and put on some meditation music to help you relax and unwind. A massage before bedtime also helps too

I had that problem too, but then I went and worked on my grandparents farm. I got up at 6... Worked and worked and WORKED... Went to bed at 11... for five days straight! And then I came home, and guess what was the first thing I did! I took a shower (their water sucks at that ol' farm house). And then I went to bed (at around 9). I was soooo tired. But I still had my mom getting me up at 8:30, because I had church. And so thus, I was on a sleep schedule.
