(Gonna play a Steve) In reply to: daemons cannot take over human bodies and make people go all insane and shit Site me references that states that your statement is true. There have been many cases documented by churches and other organizations of possessed people.I could tell you a personal experience about possession (No I was never possessed lol), but you'll call it bullshit and blah blah. Point is just because you have never witnessed it or simply don't believe it certainly doesn't make something "bull shit". It's just out of your realm of possibility.
-
are you sure you're not possessed now, cos apparently the possessed know things about other people, and you seem to know a lot about him grin
-
LOL..hmm..maybe I am...hmmm... can you come lay hands on me to expell the demon?? wink wink
-
Hey Intro…..I miss chatting with you!Okay…I’m a big weenie then…I was born and raised catholic and had been brainwashed with that organized religion demon /devil crap and stuff like that, all the while I was growing up. I really, really hate those kinds of demon possession kinds of movies. I read the book from the first exorcist movie, the book about the Ronnie DeFeo Murders and the shinning…….. Shiver……Call me a wus, but I know great men who are afraid of spiders and snakes…Maybe they hate those kids of movies too….LOL
-
hug miss chatting with you too buddy =-).I think everyone is scared of something, it's just some people won't admit it. Personally I hate snakes, I can handle about anything else except snakes. Oh and sharks, you won't usually catch me swimming in the ocean LoL.Fear is a normal part of being human.
-
No, you played the anti-me. I am the Anti-Christ, you know, so what does that make you?>> [demonology is nonsense]> Site me references that states that your statement is trueYOU STILL DON'T GET IT! If you make an outragoeous statement (or any proposition), you have to prove it. You have to make your case. It's not incumbent on others to prove the negative. Prove that I'm not a god, and that Zeus is not my dad.> There have been many cases documented by churches and other organizations of possessed people. You are soooooooooo gullible. Child-like, in fact.> I could tell you a personal experience about possession (No I was never possessed lol), but you'll call it bullshit and blah blah. Point is just because you have never witnessed it or simply don't believe it certainly doesn't make something "bull shit". It's just out of your realm of possibility.(As my head spins while I spew pea soup.) It is utter bullshit. How can an educated person in modern times believe such nonsense? It's Pythonesque.
-
Umm and where the hell did you come from??? First off... ugh where do I start. I never asked you a damned question, it was to unforghetto or whatever his names is.And just because you don't believe is something don't bring your better than all attitude here and cut other people down for their belief. It's fine you don't believe it but don't start with your ignorant self.Sorry If I'm being mean but I find it repulsive when you but your "better than everyone" attitude into a topic that was not even asking for your opinion. If you don't believe in it fine.. say you don't believe it.. but don't cut me down in the process. You call me child like, but you're the one always calling names and acting childish. And second off I have to prove nothing. Unforghetto made the statement "daemons cannot take over human bodies and make people go all insane and shit. Obviously the story is bullshit lol." So i was asking for him to back it up with facts. HE made the statement.

You speak of childish, mystical fantasies as if they're truth. Someone else says it's not true. You tell them they say that because they're limited. So, it seems logical to you to make a wild claim, and then poo-poo others for being skeptical. Seriously, it's based on exactly the same logic as a belief in Santa Claus. The demon/haunting nonsense that you're so fond of never stands up to scrutiny. So far, your belief system is batting .000. Aside from its falsity, it has nothing useful to offer. Maybe you'd like to go out and burn a witch? Because that's where that crap leads.By the way, you did mention my name.
-
In reply to:
Maybe you'd like to go out and burn a witch? Because that's where that crap leads
Umm no thanks I'm kind of fond of Angel.
Secondly you always but your nose into these topics with calling it false blah blah but have nothing to back it up either. It's all opinion and you just cannot handle if someone has an opinion different from your own. Get with it buddy people are always going to have the same thoughts and opinions as yourself. Just because you cannot explain it or science as not explination doesn't make something false.
Don't come in here and tell people they are childish or whatever simply because they might believe in demons or whatever. You're an atheist it's expected you will not believe in demons if you don't believe in god. Why can you just simply make a comment that's simply saying "I don't believe in demons" instead you have come in a personally attack people and call them childish.
-
Secondly you always but your nose into these topics with calling it false blah blah but have nothing to back it up either. You still don't get it. I don't know how many different ways I can say it. Perhaps another language? You make a claim. You must back it up.The skeptic does not have to back it up. It is not incumbent upon them to disprove every hare brained idea.If you don't understand that, then your sense of logic is that of a child. Sorry to burst your romantic little bubble.I am the son of Zeus. You don't believe it? OK, back it up or shut up.> Don't come in here and tell people...Just because I'm the son of the head god doesn't mean that you're the supreme dictator.
-
I'm a firm believer that there are such things as demonic forces.
-
Way to show your maturity Steve.
YOU still don't get it. Out of the blue you came into ths thread calling me names and saying its rediculous and all the babble but yet YOU never back up YOUR claims. If you want me to STFU back up your damned statements. Show me where it says in fact that there is no such thing as demons. Show me hardcore evidence that there is no god.
You cannot even begin to grasp that there are people with spiritual beliefs that might also include demons and such. Why can you simply just let us believe what we WANT to beliee without you bashing? It's fine you don't believe in such things. You never hear me calling you childish over it or any other name. I respect your decision to not believe in god and the other topics. But don't be ignorant and come here and tell us how we should believe because you think our beliefs are childish.
You make yourself off to being accepting of others and how people live thier lives, but than you come here and say shit like this. When it comes to things like this you are very close minded.

In reply to: Agree to disagree and move on. Agreed

In reply to: I think everyone is scared of something, it's just some people won't admit it. Oh, too true! I am deathly afraid of bees, wasps, hornets, (etc) and scorpions. But my best friend is afraid of... werewolves?!?! At least she'll never see one in real life, I suppose... In reply to: Prove that I'm not a god, and that Zeus is not my dad. So that would make you Heracles? So when are you going to go insane, eh Steve?
-
Okay...getting back to the actual topic now....jeez.No, Pink, I haven't seen it. I want to though. It seems like it could be interesting.I do believe that the story was based in truth by the way boys. The film does not come out and blatantly say that THEY believe the girl was possessed (you'd know that if you were paying attention). What the movie is about is the priest who instructed the girl to stop taking her anti seizure medication and the lawyer who defends him. How true the facts in the movie are remain to be seen. The story of Anneliese Michel however is true. It took place in Bavaria, Germany. The seizures she was having started in 1968. She was diagnosed with "Grand Mal" epilepsy apparently. Soon after she started hallucinating - seeing demonic figures while she was praying. In 1973 her parents began taking her to different priests and bishops within the Catholic church and in case you don't know much about the Catholic church they have a criterium that defines what must be present and taking place for permission to be granted that an exorcism take place. Instead of granting the request for an exorcism Anneliese was told to continue with her medication. In 1974 a pastor who had been working with Anneliese requested permission again and was rejected. The Catholic church said that Anneliese should lead an even more religious lifestyle. Meanwhile her behavior was becoming more disturbing and iratic. She began biting, insulting, and beating other members of her family. She refused to eat food...turning to spider and insect, etc. instead and she slept in the floor. She even began drinking her own urine apparently. Anneliese eventually died in 1976. Her parents and the priest involved were convicted of negligent manslaughter and sentenced to 6 months in jail and probation.Check it out for yourself if you want. The above is just a brief summary. Anneliese

,>If you want me to STFU back up your damned statements. Show me where it says in fact that there is no such thing as demons. Show me hardcore evidence that there is no god.The hardcore evidence. Holy crap, you still don't get it. Not even a little. When I say that if you're making some claim (an outrageous one at that), you have to be able to back it up, or concede that it might very well be nonsense.> You cannot even begin to grasp that there are people with spiritual beliefs that might also include demons and such.I grasp it perfectly well.> You never hear me calling you childish over it or any other name. If the shoe doesn't fit...Apparently there is no limit to what people should be able to believe without being embarassed...demons, tooth fairies, Santa Clause, witches that need to be burned. It's all on the same plane. All beliefs are fine, all is well. OK, now I understand.OK, I believe everything implied by the film now.
