oh no! shouldn't we learn to get along here let everyone believe what they want and not argue about it.
Some people believe still believe that witches should be burned. Believe it or not, they're still putting women to death in Saudi Arabia for sorcery. Other people have a set of beliefs that cause them to fly jets into buildings. There's no freakin' way that we can all get along.
I didn't mean "we" as the world I know that is never going to happen..I meant here as in "we" in the discussion board LOL
feeling a little spooked with all this talk of burning Bet Unforgetto has the match LOLNtro, i love you too hon hugs
In reply to: Other people have a set of beliefs that cause them to fly jets into buildings. Umm going a bit extreme aren't you? Lol.Again you have the right to believe what you want as we have the right to believe what we want. We don't try and ignorantly push our beliefs on you so don't do it to us.hugs back to AngelAnd Unforgetto please look up the word faggot before trying to use it. Thanks.
We don't try and ignorantly push our beliefs on you so don't do it to us.People have the right to believe what they want, no matter how absurd or ridiculous, I agree. But some ideas are just plain ridiculous. The popluar beliefs in magical ideas is not as as benign as you might think. They ultimately have social and political conseqences. For example, I won't be surprise to see the end the teaching of evolution in some Red (i.e., Southern and Midwestern) states. Over the years, laws to that effect have been passed in state legislatures. And the Indiana legislature once passed a bill defining pi as a rational number. The Enlightenment happened over 200 years ago, but it seems to have passed right by some folks. That's very sad. China and Europe will own our asses as we spiral into ignorance. It sounds just wonderful.
That's your opinion Steve. If thats what you wish to believe, that's fine. But don't tell us our beliefs are childish just because it differs from your belief.
But don't tell us our beliefs are childish just because it differs from your belief. This, after hundreds and hundreds of words. Your beliefs are childish because they are childish, not because they differ from my beliefs. I those were my beliefs, then my beliefs would be childish.Seriously, as wonderful as this world is, not all beliefs are on an equal plane. Will you concede that any belief is childish? Let's say you met a 20-year-old who expresses a belief in Santa Clause. How would you characterize this person's beliefs?Would you be the kind of math teacher who would give an A to everyone, because every answer is a matter of opinion, and any opinion is as good as any other? If you would for once actually respond to a point I made, it would be prety cool. Pretty much all I get from you is "I don't criticize your beliefs, so don't criticize mine." Bleh.
Oh lord... Steve you bring up such drastic ideas when trying to make a point it's crazy. I go back to the point that you simply like to be heard (in this case people to read you.)Anyways done with the topic because otherwise this thread will get so long and neither of us will win nor stop and it'll simply get more annoying than it already is.
Steve...you want us to prove that there are actual demons but we can't prove it. However, you can't disprove it either.Steve, I love ya to pieces but you are both acting childish. Can you both just agree to disagree? Some people believe that there are things called demons and some people don't. There's a post in here that suggests you believe in witches. I believe you said something along the lines, "Some people still believe in burning witches." How can you believe in witches and sorcery and not also believe in a demonic entity. How can someone believe in ghosts and not believe in a ghost that has the ability to be harmful to someone? It doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
Steve believes in none of the above. It's unfortunate that he has to incessantly badger a person becasue they believe in something that they can not even prove to exist or be true.I believe that there is/are other life forms somewhere out in this universe. Are you sure you're not a Vulcan and Mr. Spock is your daddy,Steve?
Are you sure you're not a Vulcan and Mr. Spock is your daddy,Steve? No. An witches are good folk.
rubs eyes to make sure im reading that right Wow i was reading it right stunned
The Wiccans/Pagans/Gaia worshippers I've met have been very nice people. I've also met a lot of nice Unitarian Universalists and Congregationalists (sort of a New England thing). And Quakers too.TV preachers, on the other hand, are uniformly evil, and all need an exorcism.
AMEN to that brother
I think Pat Robinson is possessed if that counts LOL  :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
to be on track with what as orignially posted...Horror movies suck.. Similar plots and everything.
There are people who thought that The Blair Witch Project was a documentary. Some probably still do.
