This summer I've been trying to live ALOT healthier. I go running/walking everyday and usually do pilates and lift weights every other day.Besides just working out I've recently been thinking of adding some extra stuff to my routine. I bought green tea then went to GNC(health store) and bought these vitamins called Hair Skin & Nails, and I also have been taking One A Day vitamins for a few weeks now. I was just wondering if any of you that have used these products noticed a change in how you feel/look or if I'm wasting my money. Also, if any of you know of really good vitamins you've been taking.just as a side note: i RARELY eat junk food, i have a varied diet and I drink around 6-8 cups of water a day. I'm completely happy with myself except for the fact that my nails are extremely thin and I would like my hair to grow faster. So its not like i sit on the couch all day watching tv eating and im trying to drastically make myself better by taking these things.I would consider myself healthy.

By and large, vitamin supplements are a waste of money (or so say the researchers) if your diet is reasonable, and if you have no specific deficiency. If you're taking two different vitamins, you may be getting to much of one or more of them. It's more of an issue for the fat soluble vitaminas, like A , D, E, and K.
Omega 3 fish oil is good, though, as is folic acid if you're pregnant.
