When I went back to America on vacation this year I got really sick and was not able to eat properly without vomiting and if I did eat it could only be in very small amounts once a day. I went to Utah and figured it was the altitude. After this I have not been able to hold my alcohol at all. Last night I went out with some mates, I drunk a doubble JD and coke and 1 budwiser then I did a doubble shot of JD and after I minuite I wasnt feeling good and went to the toilet and puked. It wasnt like proper puking tho because it all caqme up in one gush and didnt have a vomity taste or anything just tasted like whiskey. I managed to drink 2 more pints of beer that night and hold it down but it made me feel a little sick. I dont know why alcohols making me so sick. I used to be able to drink and drink all night and not vomit or even feel sick. It didnt help that I had had nothing to eat or drink that day but this whole situations really pissing me off because its pukings a waste of money and I cant get drunk especialy since these past coupple of weeks I have become a heavyweight when it comes to drinking so require more alcohol to feel the effects. I dont know what to do, someone mentioned it could be somthing to do with my liver which really scared me so I need some advice. I dont think I have drunk enough in the past to destroy my liver I have been drinking since I was almost 16 on an average of once a month.

Fucked liver?

If you drink like that regularly, you are or are becoming an alcoholic.> I have become a heavyweight when it comes to drinking so require more alcohol to feel the effects. That proves it! And you only 18?!?!?> I have been drinking since I was almost 16 on an average of once a month. At least you don't do that every day. But you are a binge drinker.I don't know what's causing your sudden intolererance to large amounts of alcohol consumed quickly, but I don't see how any liver problem would make you puke so quickly. You'd more likely have chronic symptoms of liver failure. Have you been having any problems with swallowing, or keeping down food when you're not binge drinking?

Im not an alcoholic I dont get cravings or anything for it. Drinkings just part of the English culture. I go out with my mates to the pub have a few beers do play some pool and generaly make fools out of ourselves. I dont drink unless I'm with my friends and were all drinking so I wouldnt class myself as anywhere near being an alcoholic. I have been having a loss of appitite at times but I dont puke when drinking water or juice. Food sometimes makes me feel sick after I eat it but not that often. It all happened after I went on vacation and got really sick and stopped eating, I lost 10 pounds in 1 week i was so sick. I have had nausia before when eating food and had to take some pills for it for a while but I never stuggled with drinking alcohol it was just eating.

Cut back on the alcohol. It'll make your liver worse. So you've diagnosed him as having a broken liver?I'd suggest that if you have trouble keeping down food or drink (aside from alcohol) that goes on for weeks, it's worth a trip to the doctor. I doubt that a liver problem would make you puke things up shortly after you swallow them. Still, it would be a good idea to know what's going on.

Yeah, I am going out drinking again on friday withy my friends I am going to eat and drink some milk before I go because I hear milk helps put the lining on your stomache and see if I am better on a full stomache and after I have darnk milk. If not I will go see a doctor cus being sober when everyone else is drunk sucks because then you get the be the baby sitter and look after them all.

being sober when everyone else is drunk sucks because then you get the be the baby sitter and look after them all.I've done that enough times.

Isnt it great ^^ people should really learn when enough is enough so I dont have to carry them home.
-
Carrying people home would be fine (if they weren't too heavy). Playing hide-the-car-keys and keep-your-clothes-on is a pain in the arse.

I cant say I have comlained much about the keerp your clothes on 1 . I have noticed in america they seem to have a really bad taxi service which i think adds to the amount of dui's most people take the taxi home here or walk. Instead of putting expensive marketing schcemes to get people to not drink and drive they should invest in better public transport. I know they had taxis in slc but i only saw 1 when i was anywhere else.

I couldn't agree with you more. It's sad that in Boston the bars all close down at 2 AM, but the train stops running before 1 AM. It's not that hard to find a cab downtown, but they're freakin' expensive. But in a lot of places, it really hard to get a cab late at night.
I used to live near the nightclub area of downtown Boston (also known as the Theater District), and it was insanity at 2 AM, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. There were a lot of drunk people driving around the confusing twisty cowpaths of the city.

There are still a few drik drivers over here but not many people do it because its easier to get a taxi than get pulled over for drunk driving. It costs me 5 pounds to get home to my house from the town centre where all the pubs are. Usialy I just walk home though because I live 20mins away and I'm cheap. Without a taxi service some people couldnt even get home (unless they wanted a 3 hour walk). It seems really bad in Utah, I asked my freind about a taxi service when I was over there and he said he wasnt sure there even was one.

Regardless of the babysitter role, you should know that your body is trying to say, enough, or not right now. It may be your liver, it may be your kidneys, it may be the altitude, it may be a lot of things. Go to the docs and get it checked out. Cut back on the alcohol, give your liver a chance to recooperate, if it is the liver.

Cus the drinks were free and I didnt want to be a party pooper. I think the reason was because, 1 I hadnt eaten all day and, 2 I mixed my drinks. Im going out tomorrow again, Im going to eat and have some milk to drink before I go and see how I get on. I got drunk on wednesday and didnt feel ill at all. I didnt mix drinks and was on a full stomache. So I may be ok now... (hopefully)
