Hi there I'm a 41 y/o male. A few years ago I lost my left testicle due to an infection resulting from a granuloma.I now have several problems, I'm impotent, low testosterone. both these isues are being dealt with. I use testosterone injections as well as Trimix California injections for erections. My main question is I'm located in Alberta Canada and I would like to know if any one knows where I would obtain information about getting a scrotal implant to fill the void of the lost testicle. I have received a lot of stares in dressing rooms. The other concern is the impotence. Would there be any surgery that can be done to increase blood flow to the penis. How successful is this.Thank you

Scrotal Implants How to obtain

You must have a doctor, and he/she should be able to refer you to a surgeon for an implant. There's no surgery that can help to increase blood flow in most cases. If the testosterone doesn't help, Viagra or one of the other anti-impotence drugs might be the best treatment.

No surgery to increase blood flow to penis. If there was, I would have already had it. My impotence is because the blood vessels do not close right and let blood flow out as fast as it flows in. I can get semi hard for a minute and then deflate. this is a complication of diabetes. Just my luck that I am a type one!! I try to keep a sense of humor about it. Told a buddy I had not seen in a longtime that I lost a foot to diabetes. When saw each other, he made the comment that I had both feet. I told him I was impotent. Then he understood which foot I meant!!
You should be able to find a cosmetic surgeon or a urologist who can replace your missing ball. They do it all the time in the states. I think it is the same jell that they use for women's breast implants, only a little smaller and rounder.
Good Luck.

Hi there, First I would like to thank for replying to my questions.I'm currently under the care of two urologists. One is treating me for the erectile dysfunction, and the other one is treating me for a neurogenic bladder + other urinary problems. When I had emergency surgery to have the one testicle removed, implants were never mentioned.I thought that at the time it had to do with the fact that they were not sure if they had the infection under control. They left the scrotum open and allowed it to heal from the inside out. Lots of fun that was. I myself just wanted to get some ideas before I address the issue with either on or both of these doctors. The next issue, Erectile dysfunction. I had seen a program on discovery health were they used some form of by pass surgery in the groin area to improve blood flow to the penis. My urologist first had me try viagra, this did nothing. He then put me in the injectable California tri mix (papaverine, prostaglandin and another ingredient) This has only limmited success rated. Because of this I thought about the possibility of improving the blood flow. I can some times get an erection, but it almost seems like the blood flow is not sufficient. I have also noticed that my penis is a lot colder to the touch then it used to be. I believe that this could be due to impaired blood flow. The other possibility might be neurological, as I do suffer poly neuropathy.I was wondering if anyone has a simmilar experience?I guess in diabetes there is the result of neuropathy as well. If this is indeed the cause of the problem then I immagine that there is little that can be done.I also underwent a prostate and bladder neck resection at the of 31. I was the youngest patient on the ward. I have also wondered if that surgery might have been part of my E.D. problems. At the time my wife and I did not think so as we were able to have another child.I appreciate any sugestion that one might have. Thank you.

I think if papaverine won't work, there is indeed a serious problem with blood supply - but only your urologist can really advise you on what treatments are feasible for you.
