Called "morning wood", sometimes associated with your bladder being full after a night's sleep, also suspected to be a sign of healthy testosterone production during rest.In other words, perfectly normal.FleshJoeThe Flesh Files

Do you guys get hard-on's when you're sleepy?

In reply to:"Morning wood" as it is often called is very common amongst teenagers. Not just teenagers - morning wood is very common in all healthy men. Morning wood does not go away after puberty.

That annoys me, cos everyone has this vision that all teenage guys gets erections all the time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------>> >>Well, that's true when I was a teen. I was getting erections all the time, and I couldn't control it! I mean I would be sitting in the middle of history class, not even thinking anything sexual, and BAM instant rock hard boner that wouldn't go down. Very embarrassing, so I always wore baggy clothes to school to hide my constant erections. When I was a teen, I got about 15 to 20 spontaneous erections everyday, and I couldn't control any of them. Fortunately, they gradually went away as I got older, and they all but disappeared by 19 or so.>> >>I can get spontaneous erections during the day sometimes, but they're pretty rare (like once a month or so I'll just pop a boner for no apparent reason). I frequently get hard when I'm sleepy and just get in bed at night, and I sometimes fall asleep while hard, even though I never touched my cock. And 90% of the time I wake up with a morning erection.I didn't get so many erections, but would sometimes get raging boners in class that wouldn't go down for a while. And during sleep or when sleepy, whatever part of the brain that suppresses erections, doesn't seem to be as active, so I wouldn't much be embarrassed to wake up from a nap, showing a hard-on, especially if it would soon go down, upon getting up.Most teenage guys don't get erections all the time. Just occasionally. But I think they get them all the time, at night while sleeping. It's normal.
I usually get hard in a few minuets of laying down for sleep. And almost always wake up with a rageing hard-on in the morning.
Me too. As soon as I lay down, I start getting hard.

if you are experiencing "wood" at school, like in class, as someone said, juss tuck it under ur waistband, like let it stick straight up and people won't know the difference u can walk right up in the middle of class, no one can tell...unless u lift up ur shirt, then they'll know.

That may work for some boy with a small dick, but isn't it possible that some boners just get a little too big for that to always work so well? Can one just always hide a stiff log, under their shirt? And boners tend to move and make it hard to get comfortable, making them harder to hide. And then there is the matter of the quick and "unnoticable"? adjustment. One's dick is usually in the down position before it gets hard, and it won't go up under one's belt, automatically, without help. And if it is already hard and big, then it is harder to adjust, and one especially doesn't want to be touching around that area, if they are already showing a rising bulge.Perhaps your suggestion is why most everybody gets hard-ons, and yet we don't really see that many? But I am not so sure, it is a magic "cure-all" for all those boners that could push down a guy's pants leg in class. Mine ended up going either way. And gets big enough to show either way I think. And one isn't always wearing a sweater or coat. I often didn't just get a minor hard-on bulge, but it soon grew into a full 7" pulsing boner that would persist for a while. So if I saw anybody else get hard in class or wherever, like most people I guess, I didn't think anything of it and ignored it, as it happens.Anyways, as I got older, the boners in class, seemed to pretty much go away, as puberty wasn't such a "new" thing anymore, but I still get them at night.

Nothing like rolling over on "yourself" to wake you up in the morning...
-
What a gas!

and now more to the topic... Why does that matter anyways? Discussions always naturally sway somewhat. In reply to: Nothing like rolling over on "yourself" to wake you up in the morning... Is that good or bad?I don't at all mind waking up with a boner. Often one can just think nothing of it and nod back off to sleep. And you get used to it, much the same as one gets used to sleeping on a top bunk of a bed, and not rolling out at night, to fall onto the floor. No big deal. I have slept on the top bunk at some points in my life, and not had much any problem with falling out of bed, even without any side rails to keep one in bed. It's easy to adjust to not roll into the open void.

Yes, I find even if I am just a bit drowsy and sitting in a chair this is enough to get an erection.
