I recentely stopped caring about stuff (maybe a year ago?). Mostly holidays. every day is another day. Christmas is coming up? That's nice. Happy Birthday? Woo, another year less of life. Anyone else feel this way?

Don't Care Anymore
-
I usually get very depressed during the holidays because I miss the loved ones that have passed on. It would be so nice to see them again or hear their voice again.. Does that count?I truly miss them!

Doesn't really have anything to do with the thread but whatever.

yeah, I know... This will be my 1st Christmas without my Dad. But it was before that.... Things aren't as exciting or fun. I'm 13... Teenager mood or something?

"recentely stopped caring about stuff (maybe a year ago?). Mostly holidays. every day is another day. Christmas is coming up? That's nice. Happy Birthday? Woo, another year less of life. Do you think you might be kind of depressed in general?

I'm not depressed at all. I'm very happy with my life. Just things have fallen into place and become boring. I love Christmas, but it's not the same. Life is good. I'm peaceful. Nothing is bothering me (thoguh some political issues (i.e. iraq, holiday trees) are more relevant). I just don't care as much as I used to. When I was 10 I was 'OMG It's Christmas! Do you Believe it??? It's CHRISTMAS OMG I CANT WAIT I LOVE CHRISTMAS WEEEEE!' I needed to be sedated (jk). Now it's 'Oh Boy. Christmas.' Well, I guess I really don't have much to complain about. It's just different and a little scary, I guess. Well, we could at least keep this line going for the annual Winter Suicides.-Tschues

welcome to being a grown up! I found that i felt the same about christmas as you do, until i had my children and then all of a sudden the magic was there again, the stories of santa, the advent calendar countdown, there face as they open their presents...........the mess they make, the toys they break etc etc LOLWhen you were a child every thing about christmas was exciting, when your a grown up its more, making sure you havn't forgot to send cards to certain people, and trying to find that special perfect gift for the people you love...........tho saying that, there is still magic there, if you look for it.

I'm the same way. Holidays just aren't what they used to be. My cousins all got married and had kids, so no one really seems to care that I'm there. My brother has a girlfriend and he usually spends holidays with her and her family, so for me, holidays are almost more of a burden.
