Hi I have a glansie and have seen some improvement, but it has taken a very long time, and I think i am still a long way away from being able to retract even when soft. I am now considering circumcision. Hope you havent caused any damage. you say you have been tight for 40 yrs, does it cause you any issues ie sex or peeing, or are there other reasons why you want to be able to retract ?

Tight foreskin/glansie use

Thanks for your replies. I went to the doctor's today and he said that I should take it easy for about a week. Then resume the stretching. I have been using a betamethazone cream which he told me to continue applying. He said the scaring should be minimal and should not pose any problems. We'll see.He said streching, even with a Glansie should take a couple of months.I'll keep posting as I start the streching again. Thank you for yor responses. And I guess the moral of the story is, slowly but surely. Thanks again.

To be honest (and based on other posts) it is refreshing to hear a doctor advise to keep up your stretching and proceed in that manner instead of immediately recommending circumcision. Good luck

Absolutely! Finally a doc who understands that stretching can work and cutting isn't the only solution.

is it normal, that wen i try and pull back the forskin over the head, it is very tite and sometimes the is a bit of blood there?

For some intact guys, tight foreskin is common; some tighter than others. Whiel many others find their foreskin is loose enough to easily retract. But stretching will gradually loosen it up and allow you to retract if more easily. As for the blood, I can't really say what would cause that. There are several possibilities such as your foreskin still adhering to your glans (head) and the retraction is sort of tearing the bond. Another possibility would be an infection that has open sores under the foreskin. However, without knowing more, I would not assume either of those or any of the other possibilites as being the reason.Chuck

Hi ckeo2,Well, I really have not had any problems from not being able to retract.Though I am noticably tighther since my overstretching. I have just started stretching again. And have resolved myself to understanding that it will take time; and not the two to three weeks claimed by the Glansie maker. My reasoning to wanting to retract is well, to enhace sensitivity. If there is no progress after six months or so, I will will consider a Z or Y plasty. But the skin has to stretch. I mean, it just has to. It would be unnatural if it didn't. Good luck with your stretching. I wish there were more information from Glansie users. I might have beeen able to avoid my overstretching if there had been. Thanks for your reply.

Hi marlboro, i recently looked at buying the glansie, $100 dollars seems a bit much to be charging for a pair of what ca only be described at forceps though! What do you think, are they any good? Thanks mate look forward to hearing from you.RegardsPete

hey mate iv been using the glansie for 2/3months now, adleast an hour a day, and id stretched for around 1month before hand aswell. I followed the NORM UK instructions on how to cure phimosis witout operation. Also last 2months iv been using betamethazone 0.05% aswell, and i have only made a TINY improvment. The Glansie isnt worth it, does the same as normal stretchin i would expect. Also iv contacted a few medical people on the betamethazone, as i was curious before puttin a cream they refer to as "tropical" on my penis, and generally after u pass 18or so, ur gona av to use a hell of a lot of cream to thin the skin, It would work if you were younga. Im 18 btw.

That word wouldn't have been "tropical" but "topical". Topical means applied to the surface, the skin, rather than taken internally.
