I have developed these small like almost white/reddish patches that look almost like dry skin...it has been there for over a week now and i cant currently go to the doctor because i have no insurance or any means of paying for it. There are only like 4 small spots that have this "dry skin" area 3 are really close to the pubic area and the other is like on the side of the shaft...not big at all, dont hurt, arent blistering or dont have really any symptoms other than the discoloration. Someone please help. Thank you.

I really am scared and really need help
-
have you been jacking off?
-
well yeah, but i mean not anytime recently, ive been home for break the last week or so, not really anytime recently.
-
So has it been long enough before you discovered the redness that we can discount the possibility that you rubbed yourself raw?
-
yeah it cant be from masturbating, its definately not just raw cause it doesnt hurt at all either like that would be at least somewhat sore. But this doesnt hurt at all.

I'd be tempted to try putting on some anti-fungal cream for a week (you can get it without prescription at a pharmacy) to see if that clears it up (if it does, continue with it for two weeks after it clears up complately).
-
and what happens if it doesnt??? what do you think at worst case scenario it could possibly be? And what kind of anti-fungal cream would you suggest? Thanks.
-
Well, it's a skin problem. Skin problems can be caused by an infection, which may be fungal or bacterial or by mites (e.g. scabies) or lice (e.g. crabs). In the warm humid crotch conditions fungal infections are especially common. Any anti-fungal cream is pretty much as useful as another to try. If that doesn't work, there are anti-bacterials for bacterial infections, and insecticides for mite and lice infections. Then there's the possibility that it isn't an infection - it could be eczema or psoriasis or a specific allergy, for example.A doctor can tell between a lot of these possibilities by looking at it.

thank you very much for all that information, does that mean you think its like almost 100% that its not some sort of STD or anything like that? Thank you again.

Obvious question: Have you been having unprotected sex? Or protected sex?
-
i mean i have before, but i called a nurse today and described it to her and she said it doesnt sound like one but she would have to see and test to be for sure but still havent said what it may be or could be....so i still dont know what to do just sucks

Hopefully you gave her more details of your sexual history than you gave us. I really doubt that it's an STD, but the only way to know for sure is to get tested. You might as well just do it, or you will keep worrying. Constant, endless stress is not healthy.
