Sure, that goes without saying. I don't know however if it was meant to be as much a historical piece as much as a philosophical question...if that makes sense. I won't see Syriana unless it ends up being one of the 5 AA nominees for best picture (which I'm quite sure it won't). To me it looks like a muddled, pretentious mess. I haven't read any reviews that make me want to see it either.Although I am looking forward to seeing Brokeback Mountain sometime in the next week or so. Just read the short story and was moved by it.

Brokeback MountainYeah, a read a pretty positive review of it last week. One of the actors (forgot which one) got credit for tuning what could have been more of a run-of-the mill movie into something special.

That is probably Heath Ledger. Here's my thing with this film though. The reviews...I don't really trust them. Film reviewers are such ideological Kool-Aid drinkers. I find myself wondering if they are giving the film such good reviews because it's really that good or because of the subject matter. They want to be seen as sophisticated or edgy or politically correct or whatever. I know that's what happend with 'The Last Temptation of Christ' which was a horrible film based on a great book. But I'm giving them the benifit of the doubt this time.

That is probably Heath Ledger.Yes.Aren't there some reviewers you tend to agree with, though? I remember Siskel and Ebert, though...it was a flip of a coin whether I agreed with either of them.
