Okay, so I'll try and do a really quick summary. I had a baby almost 10 months ago and had several problems following (my c-section was almost fatal, gallbladder needed to be removed, thyroid problems, etc...). On the 18th of November I had a Cone Biopsy because I had moderate to severe dysplasia. I healed fine. I had my period last week (it was late but did come) and it ended on Sat. I didn't bleed Sunday or Monday. My husband and I had sex Monday night and I have had this really weird discharge. Not heavy, more like spotting. It's almost black and is rather worrysome. I got to the dr. on Monday but I'm trying to get an idea of what it could be. Any ideas?

Odd Discharge
-
I have no idea what it is, it may be just best to wait and see the dr on monday rather than searching for an answer which may bother you more!
How soon after having sex did you get the discharge? -
**I had 3 sections and didn't have any spotting, and since it was a while ago, i tend the think that the spotting is related to the biopsy. the Doc should be able to put you right, and your mind at rest, i don't think its anything to worry about tho. Good luck. **

I know I should just wait until I go to the dr. I just can't seem to find any info on the net to give me any idea of what this is. And I wasn't saying it was related to my c-section or the biopsy. It's not related to either, that was just a brief history so that people weren't totally in the dark.It also started almost immediately after sex. I really just don't know what it is

I really have to stop posting before i have enough coffee to read things properly! sighI read it that you had had a biopsy recently, for some reason smacks forehead obviously you are meant to leave a week up to 14 days after one to have sex to allow yourself to heal, but that was ages ago......sorry.Are you worried about the spotting as in it could be connected to the reason you had the biopsy in the first place?

I think that is one of my bigger concerns. All the nurse could say is that they will look at my cervix on Monday. What scares me is if the dysplasia has come back, I will have to have another procedure. A second procedure could weaken my cervix and make it hard to carry a child to full term (an incompetent cervix is the term for it, I think). I want another child. I'm not ready to stop now. The only other info I have found that could be related is fibroids (which runs rampant in my family). That would explain the pain I've had on and off for a couple of months. But even that isn't a sure thing. I guess it's a wait and see thing

Are you sure its not just blood? He might have caused a tear or something.. I had that the other week and my bleeding was on and off for a few days. There wasnt much blood...??

I can totally understand your fears, and i guess only an examination will be able to tell you and hopefully put your mind at rest. Hope everything goes ok for you hon.

"Are you sure its not just blood? He might have caused a tear or something.. I had that the other week and my bleeding was on and off for a few days. There wasnt much blood...??"If it's just blood then it's still a problem.....it is literally almost black and there are a lot of clots. If he caused a tear (which has yet to happen) I think I would have felt it. I didn't have any pain, or discomfort. It started Monday night and has been pretty consistent since then. I had a brief instance of bright red blood mixed in and then that was over. So I really have no idea what's going on

You need to call your doctor's office and ask them about it.
-
I have an appointment on Monday. I already made the call. I'm just trying to get some feedback before I go, maybe get an idea or come across someone who might have gone through it.
-
The idea is to get some feedback from the doctor. You should be able to get him (or at least one of his assistants) on the telephone. Are you saying that you're waiting for a call back from the office, to discuss the symptoms you've described here? It's not easy to get a good idea of what's going on with you by comparing symptoms with other people. It sounds a bit complicated. There is a good chance that you will get misleading information. It's better to talk to a medical person in a case like this.

I had already talked with the nurse, who talked to the dr. They made me an appointment for Monday to check it out. He didn't want to give an answer for what it could be without being able to do a full examination, especially with my history and my family history. I know trying to compare myself with someone else isn't going to get me the answers I need. I guess I just hoped someone had experienced this and it was nothing, and it just fades away on it's own. But obviously other people are just as puzzled as I am. I was just looking for ANY kind of feedback, a direction to research, anything.
