Ok this one is for all you coffee addicts. So i am addicted to Starbucks, but it gets expensive after a while. So i bought the Braun Tassimo coffee maker. You see i like specialty coffees. I make lattes, cappucinos, expresso, etc. Anywho, i dont like the machine i have. I dont like the whole pod idea. So does anyone recommend a good machine to buy? I was looking at the Delonghi.

Coffee Makers

The pods get damned exspensive, I have a senseo that takes pods and I have a Mr Coffee $50 one that takes grounds to make a latte.its all a pain in the ass, I mostly use a $30 Mr. Coffee and make a pot and pick up a latte at starbucks when I happen to be around one.

I know that Krups makes good machines. We have one, my dad got it at a wholesale/wearhouse type store at a sale so the price was decent.

Yes i hate the pods. I just bought a delonghi machine today, its a pain in the ass. So difficult and its just not starbucks lol.

well, I'm sorry to make a generalisation but I've found so few decent cups of coffee in America that I have to come to the conclusion that Americans are deprived of good coffee!I hate Starbucks, it's just not good coffee (if you can actually figure out how to order a large, black coffee there to start with)A cheap drip coffee maker with clean water and good grounds makes the best coffee.Worry more about finding the good coffee rather than the fancy maker. I did spend some time buying various bulk beans and blending and grinding them myself. That was a bit of a fun excersise but I sure didn't need a fancy machine to pour hot water through them.

Do you use starbucks coffee when ur making ur beverages?

Well i know starbucks is a little confusing, but once u get ahold of it its awesome. I swear they must put crack in their coffee because im addicted. I wasnt so much worried about the fancy maker, i just wanted good coffee. The thing is that i have found u usually get what you pay for with household appliances. No i havent tried starbucks coffe because i dont make the regular coffees, i make expresso, latte, cappucino, etc... And i dont think starbucks has a expresso....do they?

You knwo they use expresso mix in all of their drinks right

for every-day coffee, it's President's Choice fine grind. Now i don't know about that bitter crap that Star's makes but I do know for a fact the Tim Hortons has heroin impregnated into their paper cups (the effect doesn't work if you only drink in-house with the mugs)

Well i know they use espresso in all their specialty drinks, but its not in the bean. i thought maybe they would sell bags of espresso. but this delonghi machine is coming along nicely, i think i needed to get practice at perfecting my cup
