I've always been confused on how religious figures consider lust as a deadly sin. Lust I believe is a strong desire for sex. Well, if that's correct...then wouldn't every mammal be a deadly sinner? If I'm correct...hormones and everything associated with sexual drive causes your mind to alter to "mating". How is a normal priority considered something so bad? Maybe I just have the wrong definition of lust...

Lust?

Um correct me if I'm wrong but I thought it was if you were ALREADY married or with someone then it would be bad to lust for another.

Oh yeah I knew that but I'm guessing he's talking from the Biblical perspective. That's what I'm answering him about.

From the Christian perspective, the desire for sex is not a sin. Lust, like other sins, encompasses the result of putting sexual desire above duty to God and neighbour.
