I don't see my boyfriend very often and I wanted to have sex with him for the first time next weekend... but the thing is exactly 4 weeks ago tomorrow I was on my period, and they always last for about 6 days for me!! Is there anyway I can make them go faster? I don't know if I posted this in the right thingy.

Damn Period!!

There's nothing you can do about it.

If you were on the pill you could start a new pack at the very end of the old one and skip your period for that month.........if you're not then there is nothing you can do about it.

nothing you can do. and I have to say, to force a period to skip using the pill isn't very healthy and not recommended. That's part of our "blessing" or "curse" as a woman. Besides, sex on period can be VERY pleasurable. By the way, you might want to check out girlstalkaboutitall.com

I was always told, that, to skip a period using the pill, was not harmful, in fact my doctor told me to do it when i was due to be on whilst on holiday etc, i by no means think it ought to be done often at all, that wasn't what i was saying.Edit: I have looked around on the internet and it seems to be acceptable, once in a while (for example one woman wanted to know how to stop her period for her honeymoon) to do this, without risk.As for sex during a period, sorry but thats not something i would do, and i am not a prude.

when my friend went to a music festival in the summer - she was expected her period that same weekend that she would be camping etc she went to the doctor to get some kind of pill which stops your period for a couple of days - but you take it just before you expect your period to come. i dont really know the details about it, so dont quote me for it - but if your really desperate ask your doctor

Using the pill to skip your period is not harmful.

As others have said, it's not harmful to skip the placebo pills in order to avoid having your period. It's not something to do months on end, if you're looking for that there is birth control specifically for that.
