I watched a film on cancer from the 60s and it said that cancer was preventable by taking vitamin b17 which we should already have in our diets but do to western society its not. This vitamin is in the pits of apricots and peaches, apple seeds, and millet or I guess you could buy it in pill form. There's also a drug you can take which was based on Vitamin b17 called Laetril. I don't know if it has been proven false but I would tell anyone you know that has cancer to eat an apple including the seeds everyday to see if it would help. I'm not saying dont stop you're conventional treatment but do ing this to could'nt hurt. It's only an apple.

Cancer, a Vitamin deficiency disease.

Yea well unfortunately it was a film from the 60's, so i wouldnt trust it to much. We've come a long way since then, so personally i would listen to much more recent suggestions. Sure you should eat fruits and vegetables everyday, they are healthy for you. but to say it will prevent cancer is a long shot. If it were that easy then it would be all over the news everyday, eat an apple itll prevent it! i dont think so

Laetrile was one of the biggest frauds ever in cancer treatment. A lot of people went to Mexico for treatment with peach pits (the active ingredient was cyanide). A lot of people died. NCI on Laetrile Quackwatch on LaetrileUnbelievably, there are still Web sites pushing that useless "cure". I hope the people who put those pages together realize that they may be responsible for the deaths of some people who decide to skip medically-recognized treatment and go the "natural" route. This is one area where faith is very destructive. That is not to say that no natural remedy has merit; just that Laetrile doesn't.

I read an interesting article by about the guy who discovered Laetrile a number of years ago. He said he was not sure the stuff he synthesized later was the same stuff he had investigated initially. He thought he had made a mistake in synthesis. The bottom line is the stuff used in the 80's etc was sh*t. Yes ,a lot of people were victimized by frauds. Always beware the man who has the simple answer to a complex medical problem.
