Just wondering if there was any major difference between the two...Would i see better results if i just started benching, rather then using two free weights in each hand...?

Bench Press vs. Chest Press with free weights..

Dude, This is a question for Helmsman... But Chest Press:Muscles Benefited: Pectoralis major and minor, triceps, and deltoids.http://www.changingshape.com/exercise/strengthtraining/gym/barbellchestpress.aspBench Press:http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/PectoralSternal/DBBenchPress.htmlThey seem the same to me….. Sorry

I would think that having two freeweights in each hand would require more stabilizer muscles to support them, resulting in more strength.

Just do both.
I remember hearing that the bench press is better for building mass and strength, but the chest press will give more definition. Dunno if it's true or not.

definition - high reps low weightbulk - low reps high weight

I know that. What I was saying though, if two guys of the same strength did the same number of reps and sets, but one did chest press, and the other did bench press. After a few months the bench press guy would be stronger, but the chest press guy would be more defined.
