has any one had this done under the age of 18? cause my eyes are really bad. i can see about an arms length away if its some decent size print with out my glasses. i was thinking of seeing a eye doctor about this. i just spend way to many hours infront of a computer and would like to get my vision fixed so im not so dependent on glasses anymoreim 17. and if you have had the surgery what was it like? cause i would like to get my vision fixed as quick as i can. or should i wait till im a certain age?i have depth perception when not were my glasses and i can drive fine. just that icant read the gauges clearly but i know were they all point to tho. and since i spend so much time on the comp i was woundering if that would help my vision in reading print with out them.

Lasik eye surgery?

there's a kid in my church, he's 9-10 years old and he's legally blind. He just had laser eye surger last week. And his vision got just a bit better.

The teens isn't really the age to get the surgery done. Your eye sight doesn't even out until your mid to late 20's. Eye surgery will only fix your vision up to a point, and if your eyes change after that then you're screwed. During repeat surgeries is risky. Have you tried contacts?

i have been thinking about contacts. just dont have the money for them. since most insurance co.s only pay out a couple hounderad(if your lucky) to get glasses.im gonna look in to that. but i think that i need some better glasses cause my eyes latly have been taking longer to adjust to long distances or near distances. have to find a local eye doctor tomorrow.

Well surgery isn't going to be cheap. Any good decent doctor will have to try contacts before he'll talk to you about surgery. Contacts aren't really that expensive. You can get some for under $100.00 without insurance.

stick your glasses for time being, you dont fullt grow up till late 25, as someone has stated..If you went to get surgery, they'll just cann you for your money.

Just get your parents to buy you Focus Night and Day Lenses. They're awesome because you just put them in once a month and forget about them, they rarely bother me and it's like natural vision. I've had these ones for several years now.
