WOW....Heeeerrrreeee I go again!!!!My house has been in escrow for 16 months, no way for me to get out with out being sued for breach...The man we bought it from died. 10 yrs later IN ESCROW...I find out that his family never probated his estate..So for the last 16 mo..I have been waiting..and so has the buyer. No one could legally put in the demand for payment for the 1st mortgage...Well. the probate hearing is March 13...that means that I will be outta my house in like April! I wanted it to go because it ties me to my ex....but I am so sad, this is the only house my kiddos remember, and the little one was born here.I know that it is for the best but for the 1st time in over a year it feels real..SOOOO scared!Don't know where I will move or ANYTHING!!!

Goodish...baddish!

woah hon, I would feel exactly the same as you are, my kids have only ever known this house too. You really don't know where you are going to live once its all over???? thats pretty serious...........and time flies these days and it will be here sooner than you think. So what are you're plans..........if you have any, have you any idea where you even want to live????
-
I wish I could re-invest into a new house...but will be stuck in a rental..I have a friend I can stay with till it is settled...once sold, I still have to go to court with the ex to find out what I get to keep....GGRRR!!It will be enough to put away, but not enough for a down payment! (45-50K) homes here are SOO expensive.

awwww honey, things will sort themselves out for the better, for one you will be totally rid of HIM...........and that can't be bad, and you never know whats gonna happen in the future, be positive, see it all as a new adventure............keep smiling big hugs

Silly Angel. I know it will sort out! I know I will be OK. Just sad I guess. I've spent 1/3 of my life here! Amazing when I think of it like that!!
-
hey you patronising me???? LOL I know it will be alright, and yeah i guess it is a bit sad......i was trying to empathise........pouts

I often wondered what it would be like to have one place that was home, as opposed to having lived in 7 houses by the time I graduated high school. We Irish potato farmers do get around...
But as for your children, they will still have lots of fond memories...of both homes. I would bet its a bigger deal for you then for them, no?
-
Possibly bigger for me, not sure. I lived in 9 before I was 10 when my folks finally could buy..thats been "home" now for 20 yrs! PLUS I am downsizing. I own LAND with the home...that scares me...LOL, can't just grab my sunday paper in my skivees..no more skinny dipping, or bonfires...Oh well. Someday I will have it again...The GREAT part is that May 1st my ex will not know where I am!!! I am SOO loving that part!!!!!oh ya, we decided that the official closing date will be May 1..

I lived in my house that I grew up in for 13 years. I was really sad about it, but in a way I was kinda glad to let it go.. make new memories
