Hi, I have read the many posts here regarding retraction of the foreskin, but my problem differs slightly. I have the ability to pull back the foreskin over the head, but it is trying to get the foreskin back over the head (the other way) that is the issue. On the weekend during sex, which hurts a fair bit, it got stuck and I could only get it halfway back over again (had to go to a doctor and he fixed it up by grabbing my cock like it had never been grabbed before!)This doctor suggested circumcision because my foreskin is too tight, and I got a second opinion from another and she suggested the same.Has anybody got any ideas how I can fix this? I look forward to hearing people who have had this problem and solved it, or people who have been circumcised later in life and have any advice / regrets in getting it done eg. how sensitive was it, was sex better, etc...ps. I'm not interested in the rhetoric "Jesus will hate me for being cut; Moses gave you foreskin" and whatever, just genuine helpful replies.Thank you all.

Get foreskin BACK over head

Welcome to the board Aqua_Man.
I really hope you get a few replies to your posting. I don't recall too many people on this board who have had or are currently dealing with that kind of problem.
Personally, I restored my foreskin about ¾ of the way back to its original state by stretching it. What you're dealing with sounds rather painful. I would suggest getting a second opinion and then follow their advice. Being circumcised isn't that bad. You just loose that soft gliding stimulation feeling of the foreskin moving over the head of your penis.
Good luck on your endeavour and let us know what happened.

You need to elaborate a little bit more. You said you were able to retract the forskin. Was this with an erection? What was it that hurt? The fact that the forskin was pushed back and stuck or just the whole sex experience. Was this your first time? The fact that the forskin was "stuck" seems to be a slight overstatement since you were able to get it back "half-way". When it is stuck in this manner, what is really happening is that the forskin folded up on itself behind the corona of the glans. What you need to do in this case is squeeze the glans really hard to squish all the blood out of it. Then pull the forskin back so that you expose the inner skin where it connects to the shaft behind the glans and then "unroll" the forskin over the head such that it doesn't fold over on itself. Tell the doc's to go screw themselves and work on stretching out that forskin so that it is looser. You can find plenty of info in these threads if you do some searching.

It just sounds as though your foreskin is still a little tight. Just keep retracting it regularly, especially when erect, and it should get looser, and this will help it to return back to covering the glans more easily. Do you pull it back fully behind the rim of the knob when wanking? Doing so should help.

Hi, I found that being in hot bath or shower makes it easier and less painful to pull back and you can go a bit further then.

I suggest stretching your foreskin outwards. Look down and see if you can get your fingers around your foreskin slit, where your glans emerge and stretch it GENTLY outwards and just do it over and over again. You should eventually be able to get it to a point where it can go back and forth with ease. And also try a hot bath or shower to loosen it up.

i am having a similar problem. i am in my mid-twenties, i found out about this site about 6 months ago (this was the first time i realized phimosis was a problem). i have been doing the stretching...not super religiously, because i am a busy student! but, i try to retract every day in the shower, to maintain retractability. recently i have been having sex with my girlfriend. it can be painful, especially if i haven't been retracting on a regular basis. the problem is in the shower i am normally flaccid, but with her i am erect. my foreskin is not stretched out enough and i get mild paraphimosis. i can usually pull back the skin with a little work, but it doesn't go back on its own. as i have read, i think i just need to keep stretching, perhaps more religiously, when erect as well as flaccid. additionally, my glans are still super sensitive, to the point where it is often a little painful during sex, but i think it will go away with time. sex is better than masturbation...i can barely masturbate fully retracted because the glans are too sensitive. i really recommend this site, and stretching religiously. i have already come a long way. i am opposed to circumcision...i saw a female american doctor and she recommended the same thing...in my opinion western doctors are completely ignorant about intact penises and should not be a trusted source of information.

Most American born and trained male doctors were circumsized in infancy and thus tend to recommend that newborn males get cut.
However, the organization called "Doctors Opposing Circumcision" is doing a great job trying to inform medical students that circumcision is not medically necessary. It will take some time for the circumcision rate to drop to almost zero as it is in most other western countries. ( www doctorsopposingcircumcision.org )
