I got circumcised last year when I was 14. It took about 4 weeks to fully heal. I did not loose any feeling, and I actually find there to be more sensitivity now that there is nothing covering the head. It does not take longer to ejaculate and there is no pain or discomfort. I only wish I had been circumcised as a baby. I absolutely have no regrets about it and enjoy being circumcised quite a bit.

Circumcised When I Was 14
-
But then there are those who do regret it and have lost quite a bit of sensitivity.
-
I think alot of that is a psychological thing. Some guys feel guilty after getting circumcised, or angry if they had to have it done for medical reasons. Me I had it done for medical reasons and have had no negative results come from it.Also everyone is different and everyone is an individual, so one guy might have more feeling in his circumcised penis than the other. I definatley would not say that all circumcised men are exactly the same, nor would I say that there level of penile sensitiviyt is the same just because they are circumcised or uncircumcised. I mean uncircumcised men also complain about lack of feeling.. So I dont think it has anything to do with being circumcised or not. It is a psychological issue and not a physical one.
-
I healed in about the same time frame. And also am pleased with the result. No loss of sensitivity or anything.
-
Glad to hear, also glad to hear that you don't have any negative results from it. See brother it guys like us that know the truth about what it is like to get circumcised. Guys who say they have horrible loss and pain in my oppinion are suffering from either a botched circumcision or psychological issues. I am so glad that I had to get circumcised and my only regret is that it was not done as a baby.
-
For a 15 yr old, you seem to think you're quite the expert. There are differences in the make-up of the skin on the glans whether you are circumcised or not and for the lenght of time you have been circumcised. To suggest that sensitivity is just psychological is rather rude.
-
would have saved us from the stress of getting it done later in life.
-
Actually, sdp, I agree that a lot of it is probably psychological.
If you look on some restoration and such sites, there are a lot of guys who place the blame of their lacking sex lives on the fact that they're circumsized.
I realize that circumsizions can go wrong and cause problems, but most of these guys don't really have problems. When they make claims that they can't orgasm, or that their partner says they're so bad in bed, it really makes me think that they just need something to place the blame on.
So, in no way to be rude, but, I really think that a lot of it is psychological.

In reply to:

everyone seems to be concentrating on the latter of these two comments, whereas it's the former ("botched circumcision") that screams to me that it isn't a proceedure to be taken lightly, and especially not forced upon babies for cosmetic reasons.
the web can show you some horrific images...

Well botched circumcision are very rare and almost never ever happen at all. Of course like any surgery, not all of them are going to be done correctly and mistakes can happen. However circumcisions legaly have to be performed by a trained professional. In the USA it has to be a medical doctor or Jewish Mohel. A bothched circumcision may occur if an individual performs the circumcison who has never done one before or has had no training in the procedure. And that is up to the parent to know who is circumcising there child. No parent in there right mind would allow some stranger who has never done a circumcision before to circumcise there child. Once again I state that bothched circumcision are extremly rare and 99% of all circumcision are done without botchery.

Thanks for your support on the psychological cause of anti-circumcision. Angry Circumcised men feel that they are missing some extraordinary sex life because there foreskin was cut off. While Angry Uncircumcised men are mad because they don't know if being circumcised might be better or not. The never knowing the answer to that drives there anger and anguish towards those who are circumcised and to those who support circumcision. Adult men who get circumcised then and only then are able to know the answer to the question of weather or not being circumcised is better for them. I myself was an anti-circ person untill I had to be circumcised. Then all my unanswered questions were answered and I did not have to wonder about any of them anymore. The entire circumcision debate is 100% psychological and I can personaly vouch for that.

If I'm honest, I actually think you sound like someone advertising circumcision, as if it's a "good thing". You say that 99% have no complications in the US. 1% of millions is a whole lot of unnecessary problems though!!!In reply to:A bothched circumcision may occur if an individual performs the circumcison who has never done one before or has had no training in the procedure. Wrong. Problems can occur for any number of reasons. Anaesthetics all carry some level of risk. There is always the risk of infection - more deadly to children. Then there are all the surgical risks that you imply, see Botched circumcisions (note: the linked page contains no graphic images, but it does link to pages that do). Note that some kids actually DIE from the complications. In reply to:The entire circumcision debate is 100% psychological and I can personaly vouch for that This is an incredibly dumb thing to say and could be very misleading to impressionable boys. YOU are not 100% of people, so you certainly can't vouch for it. The circumcision debate in most cases should be about medical need (generally none) and sometimes in adult cases we can talk about cosmetic reasons. The psychological debate is a very different matter, but as you say, unnecessary circumcision may also have unwanted psychological effects - another reason against it in my book.Circumcision made for whatever reasons when you're an adult and in a position to choose for yourself is fine, but never inflict it upon your children.

In reply to:and I actually find there to be more sensitivity now that there is nothing covering the head. Why did you get circumcised? Where there a medical reason because of problems retracting your foreskin?Reason why I ask is, most guys who report better sensitivity being circumcised while being uncut before, had problems or pain retracting their foreskin before they were circumcised, so they never got to experience what a normal healthy uncut penis is supposed to feel like. A circumcised penis probably feels better and more sensitive that an uncut penis with a non-functioning foreskin (i.e. no retraction possible, or painful retraction). You say there was no sensitivity lost, however, uncut guys who retract their foreskin report that the glans is so sensitive to touch, even when flaccid, that they can barely touch it directly. I was circumcised at birth, and my glans doesn't have anywhere near that sensitivity. I can touch my glans directly, even rub it vigorously, and I'll barely feel anything in it, until I get very hard and close to orgasm, then it gets sensitive.
-
The loss of sensitivity after a circ very well maybe pysologoical but from 2 close friends ive talked to the sensitivity didnt change much at all if any. They both told me to avoid it just because it wasnt worth the whole having to go through surgery/pain for nothing more than looks.
-
There is always a psychologigal factor to everything. However, there is no way anyone can convice me that there is no physical loss whatsoever in sensitivity when an adult gets circumcised. When a baby gets circumcised, perhaps the body compensates in the long run for this unnatural state, but there is no way a mature male can feel the same if he is cut later in life. The change may not be immediate but may take some time.
-
I got cut at 18 and I agree it feels better if anything.
-
And you got cut just because you wanted to???? or what?
-
Oh there is and Me and willy are proof. The feeling is different at first..but just as good if not better!! Otherwords there is no negative loss of feeling from getting circumcised. Just as me and Willy we know cause we used have foreskins.
-
I had a phimosis ring which was the medical reason but I was always kind of wishing I was circed at birth like everyone I grew up with.
-
You and your willy are not proof of anything, becasue there are others who say the contrary... that they lost quite a bit of feeling after a while. Plus you got cut relatively recently, will it be the same in several years... You don't know.
