Hey, about 2 1/2 months ago, this rash-like thing apeared on my balls. It is red and slightly raised and dries out my skin. It is not all over my balls. it is more scattered in little random areas on them. After about 1 - 2 weeks, it spread to a few little patches on my upper inner thighs and more recently, it is in a perfect semicircle about 1 cm from the top of my anus. it is not very red anymore, but it itches like crazy sometimes. As a result, I spend a lot of time with my hands down my pants doing some seriously intense ball scratching and now even ass scratching. It is really embarassing to have to constantly scratch, but it itches really bad. I am not currently sexually active, so it can't be any kind of STD. I decided i was going to to wait an see if it went away on its own, but it didnt. Most of the visual signs aren't really visible any more, but some skin around my pubes is still dry (probably from scratching) and it still itches. CAN ANYONE HELP??? thanks!!!

Probably Jock Itch. Get some antifungal creme from the store.

Thanks! Ill get some anti fungal cream. What kind of antifungal cream, though? Is there just a general antifungal cream or something? I know nothing about this.

Tolnaftate is available as a cream and as a powder. If that doesn't work, suggest you try clotrimazole cream. All these are available 'over the counter'.This can happen sometimes if you are taking an antibiotic or not washing athletic underwear etc.

ever since i can remember i have had very itchy balls. im not yet sexually active, my balls have dropped but they dont hang very low at all, i was wondering if this might have anything to do with it also sometimes when i scratch them i get what looks like dead skin under my nails, could it be eczma ??? im soooo confused

It could be eczema. It's also possible to have a chronic fungal infection. I don't think it has anything to do with how high your balls hang. You could try an antifungal cream and see if that helps. Eczema has various causes which need different treatments.
