Éireann go Brách!Frankfort Ave. was packed all day today. Between 2 Irish pubs and an Irish restaurant, it took me forever to get to and from work.
-
An Irish restaurant? What is that? We don't have restaraunts, well, atleast not Irish ones. We have American, Chinese, Italian, Thai, etc.. but what makes something an Irish restaraunt?
-
Well I'm Irish and I do know what makes something Irish, but none of the typical characteristics would fit for a restaraunt. I just don't get how it could be Irish unless they called it Paddy's Restaraunt and served grilled leprachaun.
-
It's an Irish restaurant because the owner is Irish and it's called the Irish Rover and they serve what is typically thought of as Irish cuisine. Y'know, fish n chips, shepherd's pie, coddle, etc.I'm curious as to what your American restaurants are like.
-
American restaraunts serve all the fatty food that will kill you quicker. Hamburgers and hot dogs and the like.
The name of the place and owner's roots is valid, but fish'n'chips and shepherd's pie are not Irish, they're British. Coddle is ok, never had it but my dad hates it.

In reply to:American restaraunts serve all the fatty food that will kill you quicker. 'sounds about right

Mmm.. french fries, hamburger loaded with grease and awful toppings, a large pop with enough sugar to kill a diabetic. Got to love North American fast food... I feel my arteries clogging, but the MSG tells me to ignore it.
-
I would know lmao i havent eaten red meat in 3 years
-
Man oh man.. I wouldnt wanna be you if you were to eat red meat. I hadn't eatten a real hamburger in like 4 years.. I'd only eat out at harveys and I'd order the Veggieburger.. I got a real one in my college a few weeks ago and I've never been so sick in my entire life. It was horrible
