I feel bad for them...They got rid of supposed bad d-lineman and they traded them to Denver and the kicked ass there...

Since this forum is misc. Who likes football?

Sorry Jon, I'm right on this one.You can't tell me that everytime a stadium or an arena or a high school gym sells out it's a direct reflection on the talent and success of the team. What it is a direct reflection on is fan loyalty, especially if it's consistent over the years. Now you can argue that there is a positive correlation between team loyalty and the team's win record, and you would be right. But full stadium doesn't in essence equal winning team.
-
There are very few places that ever sell out due to loyalty. That is the sad part of it. 85% of the time stadiums will not sell out due to loyalty. There has to be some other incentive for fans to arrive, whether it be talent or the stadium. That is why Green Bay does that. It is Lambueau field...Green Bay the first team to win the Super Bowl, Vince Lombardi, the greatest coach to ever coach in the NFL. Green Bay has the prestigousness and for the past 15 seasons (not including this one) have not had a losing season.I mean back onto Brett Favre...If he is not one of the best if not the best, explain how the Raider Nation had signs of compassion and cheered him onto the field in Oakland...Explain that...No other QB would get that kind of a reception.

Hell, they took the whole damn Browns team to New England, (i think it is new England) and they won the friggin Super Bowl! Everyone that leaves Cleveland does better. It's that Cleveland Karma or something.
I'm ready to move to Canada myself.

I feel bad for Vick....I he had a bit better accuracy and better recievers he would be just amazing...He definitely has the strongest arm in NFL though.

AH you bunch of sissy Americans. You guys should try rugby, that's a real sport. None of this pussy padding or stopping every 20 seconds to catch your breath.
Rugby is the game of real men. No padding. 80 minutes of bone crunching action, non-stop bar penalties. Speed, strength, skill, stamina, it's all there. Best game in the world.
-
Football and Rugby are utterly diffrent sports but just have some of the same aspects...
-
Actually they are pretty damn similar. Get an oval shapped ball over the goal line, there are posts to kick over, lots of tackling, passing etc. Granted the rules are quite different, but the same general concept.
-
I will say that rugby is intense....a lot more endurance needed.

O.K. Ive got behind on my posts. Hadnt been here for a while. First, Im not saying Brett Farve wasnt a great QB. but its time to retire. And walken u was talking about what how good a team does has to do with how much their stadium stays packed? The Packers hadn't been to good for a while now and there stands are still packed. It all has to do with where the team is located. The 49r's are in san fran. and I dont see much love for football there. Mid west and the south is where the die hard football fans are. Not saying there is none nowhere else but in my opinion thats where there at. Take Dallas for ex., they hadnt been good for a while and they've still got the fans.Heck, Im from the Carolina's and love the panthers, but the colts are still my team. And u cant forget the other greats from the colts. Uve got Harrison WR, June on D, Freeney. Harrison can catch anything thats thrown at him. You guys cant deny the Colts talent. Gonna miss James though. But I think Rhodes will hold his own. Dont know about Eli though. He's gonna have to step it up. He's still young but I still dont know if he'll cut it. Think u'll need to watch out for Delohomne now. He's the rising QB. Sorry so long, had a lot to catch up on!
-
And forgot to mention, Peyton is the heart and soul of the Colts. James said there wasnt a nother QB that he would drather be beside. He hasnt been in Indy as long as Farve has been in Green Bay. So naturally u r not going to notice that as much.Dang were gonna miss James. And you cant really say that a coach is the best coach ever. Diferent coaches have different goods and bads. Coach Dungy is my pick though lol.
-
in the 80's yes....but since 1991-2004 not a losing season...hmmmm Brett is the greatest QB b/c of that.
-
Still dont agree. NOT the greatest. Manning's not either. Just as good as Farve though. The greatest is yet to come.
-
You have a lot to learn....
-
That was a little patronizing.
-
i hope so...I mean you do not say the QB that if he plays another goes number 1 in QB records and holds the longest consecutive starting streak is not the best....I will say Jerry Rice is the best player to ever play the game.

i got some great pics for you all to see... Pic 1 Pic 2 Pic 3 Number 1 Baby

umm dude a game doesnt decide whos a man or not its his choices and how he lives by them, as to padding i think that was because to many people were getting injured and they were losing players to much or something im sure someone will correct me
