Im really irritated with myself right now because i have like a block on just being happy. Something really great happened with a friend today, potentially life changing and I was happy and thrilled and then 30min later im upset because of how different things like that related to me. So why, for once, can't I just be happy?
When something goes very bad we often start by feeling numb, and after that there's a range of emotions, not always logical; and similarly, reactions to good news aren't always logical either. I think that's especially so if the good news may be life-changing, because anything that big is a bit scary.
