Lots of you said you'd love to visit Ireland i have to say its not bad, even my County Armagh has a few highlights. A few of you mentioned the IRA and i was wonderin what people think of them like especially Americans after 9-11 and all do you think of them as freedom fighters looking to unite a country divided or terrorists. Off the point the countries id love to see are Canada, New Zealand and Australia,

Ireland: Part II
-
I see them as terrorists. I'd go as far to say I hate them for killing my fellow countrymen. I'd sooner be rid of them than I would Al Qaeda.
As for 9-11, I find it rather ironic that everyones making a fuss about terrorism nowadays, while growing up on an army base during the "troubles", I've been aware of it all my life.
-
There is a big deal about terrorism now because there has finally been a large terrorist attack on American soil (aka - a terrorist attack that they actually give a shit about) and since America is the land of the large, they made a massive deal about it.
-
Forget Al Queda and the IRA beware of the French! They're the only group to commit a terrorist attack on New Zealand soil.
-
We made a big deal about 9/11 because it hit us at what is arguably one of the most secure periods in our history. Also we were experiencing one of the longest economic expansions. Then after we were attacked there was a huge recession because of a chain reaction after the bankruptcy of many airlines. Other attacks just hadn't caused as many resulting problems.
-
Yeah I know that, but it doesnt stop me thinking, when Bush is talking about the war on terror, "Okay, so whens Belfasts turn?". Just because I feel its so hypocritical.I've supported much to do with the recent war but the concept of a "war on terror" really annoys me.

Iraq, Iran and Venezuala... what do they have in common, two things American are OPPOSSED to them and Tyranical goverments, and oh yeah they have OIL... Interseting that the USA is willing to take action against these countries and not North Korea and the likes but its probably just concidence...
-
its a war for oil its painfully obvious and its comical the way most Americans dont catch on to how their being manipulated...
-
Actualy invading a country, waging a war their, replacing their government, and in the process seeing most of their infrastructure destroyed, is damaging to the flow of oil. So no, America has not invaded Iraq and Afghanistan for oil.
We havnt invaded North Korea because we've agreed to leave it be after the Korean War in the 1950's.
-
I see were your comin from maybe your right maybe america is doing it for the greater good... my view is personally like many others is that its for oil. Yeah war damaged infrastructure etc. but who now controls those oil fields, what army is guarding them, a bit of damage is worth the control.
-
But no army can guard the oil indeffinately except for an Iraqi army. The West has been out of practice of pernamently holding down large swathes of foreign land indeffinately.
Plus then why would Britain be there when Tony Blair is taking us down the nuclear power route so that we wont need oil? "Oh because Blair does whatever Bush says"....no Blair must feel hes getting something out of the war and he sure as hell isnt getting oil.
There are plenty of good arguements against the war, but Oil is not one of them. The Oil arguement just doesnt hold up to scrutiny.
-
How about sex slaves?
-
Duh! Can you think of a better reason for war?
-
Oil?
