Ah yes I'll be doing a spot of cramming myself with the leaving cert starting on Wednesday ....as for tips, I'm not sure as I find it really hard to sit down with a book and study but writing things over and over seems to help them stick in my head and I find it easier to concentrate in the mornings.

I've got my Leaving Cert coming up this Wednesday as well. I have over 30 hours of exams in the next 2 weeks. Its gonna be lots of fun!
As for study, I don't have a clue. Never done a bit of study in my life. But its ok, just cause we live in a world where its nearly impossible to get a decent job without a college education, it doesn't mean I'm screwed... -
well I just finished my geometry, physics, spanish, and chemistry exams last week so now I have U.S. History, Algebra, and mmulticulture... it's driving me nuts!! the books are as thick as the Bible itself.

I don't know why they make you guys take all of that crap. I don't know how you guys can even do it. I'm not graduating this year, but at my school, there were 7 exams to take. I took a band final because the band directors made everyone take it-no excuses, but it was band so it wasn't hard. And if it makes you guys feel any worse, I was exempt from all except 1 of my exams for good grades and good state test scores.

Don't study more than a couple important points that you want to clarify on Monday morning. You will wear your brain out. Remember, it requires energy to function (most of the energy used by your body is used by the brain) and needs down time to recover. Review the important points. Go through old notes, tests, etc. and look at your weak points. What are big concepts you don't understand? Practice answering a few questions associated with the difficult topic. Any review packages? Going over some old questions can be an excellent refresher so you don't have to struggle with stuff that you haven't seen for months. Here's the most important thing. Get a good sleep Staying up late doesn't help, because although you may have reviewed more, you are unable to think through complex thought processes as effectively as if you were awake, which means you are likely to screw up and miss stuff regardless of having studied it and knowing it. Also, you are unable to make intelligent choices if forced to choose between answers. Get a good sleep tonight and get to bed a little earlier than you would on a school day. Do the same thing tomorrow. You should have 8-10 hours of rest before your exam tonight and tomorrow night. You will be able to study better tomorrow with plenty of sleep, you will retain more from what you've studied, and a couple days of good rest gives your brain a good chance to recover if you haven't been sleeping well lately (we're all guilty of it, some more often than others).Eat a decent breakfast, most importantly with complex carbs. Hydrate well prior to an exam, it helps you think better. Do something relaxing tomorrow where hopefully you're able to relieve some stress and feel better afterwards. An easy swim or run works well for me, but that's just me.Good luck and think positive. Your mind is your greatest tool and the way you decide to use it will determine the outcome of many things, such as your exams.

Cramming never works.

Haha, you losers who had to take finals... Anyways, these are the rules of thumb for just thinking better (I'll try not to copy the ones already posted)Exercise beforehandEat something with a lemon or peppermint taste while studyingStay coolCreate an enviroment where you do not get distractedCreate a list of what you want to accomplish (I don't do this when I cram, because it's a real pain in the ass for me, but a lot of other people do) And that's all I can think of right now.

before I start cramming I eat tons of sugar candy perferrably chocolate and gum and chug down a bunch of soda and sugar juice to stay awake.
