Hi Everyone. I am a Mom to a 4yr old and 4 month old boys. Both were circumcised as infants. After the procedure was done, I was told to use vaseline to prevent sticking to the diaper, but other then that, to leave it alone. I recall thinking my older son's penis looked like it was sticking, but after questioning the doctor about it (who said it was ok) I never thought of it again. I just made sure I pulled back what was left of his foreskin to clean it during bath time. Fastforward to now. I took my newest son in for a 5 week checkup and asked the doctor to look at his penis to be sure the circ was healing properly. He said all looked well. I asked him if it looked as though it was "sticking" and he said no. Now he is 4 months old and when I change him and bathe him, I pull back the loose skin to clean it. Well, it looks as though a small part of the extra skin has stuck at the base of the head of his penis. So I start freaking out. I look at my 4 yr old penis for comparison, and notice his skin can be pulled back but it seems as though the skin is stuck to the base of HIS penis's head. Then of course, when my husband came home, I made him drop HIS drawers so I could get a closer look. I can plainly see the entire head of his penis-no sticking skin. His ridge is fully visible. So, my question is, are my son's penises messed up? I browsed this site and couldn't find any posts on circumcision adhesions, just UNcircumsised adhesions. I am thinking of making both boys doctor appts with their regular doctor. (He didn't perform either circumcision.) I am just worried it will need to be re done or something. I guess I am looking for some reassurance or something. Thanks in advance!

Circumcision adhesions?

He thinks we should take the kids in as well.

Yes, it seems as if the circumcisions healed improperly. You should check with another doctor or ask for a urologist if you are unhappy with this doctor. Some doctors are just lazy idiots.

i think the small piece of skin attach to the base of the penis is the frenulum...
-
No, definately not. The part I am referring to is on the right side of the head of his penis.
-
They are circumcised so there probably is no frenulum left.
-
It is certainly possible to have it re-done.
